Felicia Tokarz  (TpT Seller) re: Arctic Animals Non-Fiction Books and Anchor Chart
Love the books and other materials!
However, the word camouflage is spelled incorrectly in the emergent readers and vocabulary cards. Is it possible for you to make the corrections? Thank you! :)

Good catch...it is changed & updated.

Sorry for that...wish power point did the squiggly red spell check lines like word does :)

Would you be interested in making the file folder labels for the red and gold kits? If so, let me know that cost? I already have the labels for the other kits and would like to have the same labels for the other two sets.

I would be happy to make them, but I don't use or have access to those kits. If you give me the #'s at each level (ex. 1-10 level G, 2-20 level H, etc.) I would be happy to make them and add them to the pack.

I have listed the levels below for the blue kit. (C – N)

120 lessons

1-10 level C lessons
11-20 level D lessons
21-30 level E lessons
31-40 level F lessons
41-50 level G lessons
51-60 level H lessons
61- 70 level I lessons
71-80 level J lessons
81-90 level K lessons
91-100 level L lessons
101-110 level M lessons
111-120 level N lessons

Let me know the cost. I would also like to have the red and gold kits. There are 144 lessons in each of them. If you would you be interested in selling an editable version, I could make them.

8/7/13: I just uploaded the updated file including the blue labels.
Go to "My TpT" (by the search box in the dark gray toolbar).
Go to "My Purchases"
Scroll down through your previous purchases to re-download the product at no cost. (While you are there please give feedback/rate the product :)

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help or if you'd like me to add the red & gold labels to the file.

8/3/13: I'll work on these this week. I will add it to the original file so you should be able to update it in your "My Purchases" section of your TpT account with the additional blue kit labels added to the end.

I had the same question as Ashlee. Can I purchase the labels for the Blue and Red Kits? I will also be getting the Gold kit in October and at that time, I would like to have you make those labels for me also.

I teach K-2 kiddos with moderate cognitive impairments so I only have access to the Orange Kit. I'd be happy to make the file folder label set for the other sets if you are willing to send me the lesson #'s, & what level each group of lessons would be. Ex. Green Box System: Lesson 16-20: Level A, Lesson 21-30 B, etc.

Do you have flashcards for download that are upper case letters? I obtained the lower case letters, but would like a set of upper case, too.

I just added uppercase letters and common punctuation marks to the file you downloaded. Go to "My TpT" then "My Purchases" and re-download the file. We focus so much on lowercase letters at my school that sometimes I forget about those capitals...thanks for the suggestion, happy to make it work better for you. :)

Here is what I found...

These websites give charts with Lexile to AR comparisons...both are a bit different, you'll have to peek and see which works better for you.

http://bas.k12.mi.us/MaltbyIntermediate.cfm?subpage=814861
scroll down to "Reading Level Comparison Chart" a pdf

www.neillsville.k12.wi.us/3.0/MS/AR%20to%20Lexile.doc

Guided Reading Level to Lexile:
A,B,C --> beginning reader
D,E,F,G,H,I --> 100-400
J, K, L, M --> 300-600
N,O,P -->500-800
Q, R-->600-900
R,S -->700-1000
T -->800-1050
U -->900-1099
V -->900-1150
W -->1000-1150
X -->1000-1199
y,Z --> 1050-1300+

Reading A-Z has a pretty good level comparison chart
http://www.readinga-z.com/correlation-chart.php

Scholastic has a chart that is set up a little differently, but may help as well...

Hope this helps :)

How did you get the AR and Fountas Pinnell levels to align? Do you have something similar for AR and Lexile Levels?

Thank you!!! I'll see if I can get my hands on a kit so that I can get the titles and levels. They are currently locked up in my book room at school. I will be helping to implement the Orange, Green, Blue, and Red systems on my campus this next year, so I want to make sure I have my set clearly organized to help guide teachers in the right direction!

I am a CI self contained teacher & only have 7-12 kiddos a year, so my methods may be a bit different than yours but I've found that putting all of my small copies of color readers and b/w in the plastic file sleeve behind my own purchased file folder with all the pre-made paper activities to go with the lesson.

Hi there, I love this design! I was under the impression that this could be used for the smart board, but it only seems to be set up for power point...am I missing something? I'd love for the kids to be able to manipulate each part.
thanks,

Hmm...I have a starboard & as long as I have a powerpoint in regular "edit" mode my kids can manipulate it just as they would with any other starboard file...you just can't move pieces in "slideshow" mode. If your smartboard will allow you to do things like clicking on websites (such as starfall) & work then the powerpoint should work for you. Let me know if it doesn't work for you this way.

Buyer re: Lesson Plan and Teacher Organizational Binder Covers
I just purchased this packet but had two questions. Is there any way to make a page that is for a substitute folder? and I didn't see the customizable page.
Thanks so much!

1. Folder Page: I use the pages titled: "substitute plan for..." as my folder cover pages. If you would like I can make one that says Substitute Folder, please jot me a note back if that would work better for you.

2. Customizable Page: The customizable page should be at the end of your packet. You will need to print it out & hand-write your information on it or print out the page and then feed it back through your printer with the information you want on a page with 1.5 margins set in your page setup.

Let me know if this makes sense, or you need more info. Thanks for the purchase & I'm happy to try to help!

Buyer re: BEE (bring everything everyday) Folder Covers
Hello! I love the concept of a B.E.E Binder/Folder. I was wondering if these signs can be edited to say B.E.E Binder as opposed to folder. I used B.E.E binders last year in my classroom and they were such a great organization tool for the kiddos.

No problem. I've adapted them to include covers for B.E.E. Binder & B.E.E. book and made a parent letter to match the new titles as well.

Hope you have a great start to your school year! Enjoy :)
