I use this as an independent small group or center activity in Pre-K during our shadows and reflections unit. It is a simple activity that children can use independently or in pairs. Nicely done.

Please be careful with how the Native Americans are being portrayed. Often the "traditional" stories of both Thanksgiving and Columbus Day are incredibly inaccurate with what really happened with Native Americans. I teach in a predominately Native school and am saddened by how these topics are being taught as "history". Nothing against you but I invite you to do a little research to learn about the "not so well known" side to these holidays/historical events.

I just noticed this problem last night. I think it is because I added description words to some of the titles (I didn't think about it effecting the links!) 7/27/12--I uploaded a new copy that has the SAME FONT AS THE CALENDAR SET.
The original download of the days of the week card had a different font due to problems I was having with my PDF converter.

not a question, but to let you know that you have made your site hard to follow. When trying to look for something it kept taking me to the sellers market which had nothing to do with you, and then I would have to start all over. So don't know that I will keep going to the site too stressful, which is sad because I really liked your site. Was trying to look for your scarecrow hat pattern and couldn't get it or the other things I was looking for.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. I'm not sure what was causing the problems you were having. There are two ways to find a specific product within my "store". The first way is the use the search box that is to the right of the tabs "ask a question" and "my profile" (not the one at the top of the page--that searches all of Teachers Pay Teachers). The second method, if you have a theme you are looking for, is to click on one of the categories listed on the left of the page (remember to click "see more" if the category you want is not shown--I have most of the common preschool/kindergarten themes.
Also, if you download our free "fall planning guide" you can click on the picture of the item you want (if your internet is available) and it should take you to that product page.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
About Cynthia Mapes: I have more than 35 years of experience working with children of differing ability levels. I am a credentialed teacher for grades preschool-12th grade, and special education –severely handicapped. In addition, God blessed me with the opportunity to serve as a missionary to Zambia, Africa. During my term in Africa, I had the pleasure of teaching Vacation Bible School and Bible studies as well as many other duties. Over the years, a have enjoyed developing colorful activities, games, communication systems and visual supports to enhance the learning experience of my students, and frequently have been told “you should sell your materials!†Well, now I am blessed to have the opportunity to do just that! About Laura Wortman: One of my greatest joys is to have the opportunity to work along side of and train new teachers and home schooling parents. I love investing in the lives of children and enjoy encouraging them to discover their full potential. Being involved in education for more than 29 years, my experience includes teaching and directing preschools both in large settings and small home based schools, teaching grades K- 4 in a private Christian school and being a resource teacher and parent advocate for grades Preschool-8. I have served as a sign language interpreter for the public school system and teach sign language to high school students. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to share my experiences and insights at a variety of conferences and workshops. I believe that imagination and active participation are two of the most important keys to learning.
