Aisha Young  (TpT Seller) re: How Many Ways? {Decomposing Numbers With Counters & Number Sentences}
Hi,
I love this activity and how its formatted. Could you share with me how you'd suggest using it in a center? Would you have them laminated for kids to write/wipe off? then record? Or would you have several different numbers available or just one? I'm trying to figure out how to package it? Baskets?, file folders? Ziplocs? Thanks. I want to add this to our workshop math station.

Hi! Thanks so much for the kind words! Do you have actual plastic counters in your classroom or are you using the printable ones from my pack? Either way, I would make enough Ziploc bags full of counters for however many students you will have at the station at one time. That way, they don't have to share the manipulatives and can continue working at a steady pace! If you wanted to save paper, laminating the response sheets would be a great idea! That way you could have all of the numbers available at once for the students to complete; then you could have them record their number sentences on another paper if you still wanted something concrete for them to turn in. It might also depend on how long your stations run. If you only want them to complete one worksheet at a time, you could give them one of the bigger numbered sheets (like 7,8,9) since the "ways to make 3" wouldn't take very long! The great thing about this is that you can make it your own to work out how you feel is best in your classroom! Sounds like you had a lot of great ideas already!

Hi! There are 3D shape activities included in this unit! There are 3D shape circle maps, interactive notebook resources, picture sorts, and a center game! The 3D shapes included are sphere, cone, cylinder, and cube. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure. When I printed it out myself, it wasn't there. First, make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader (I believe it's 10.1.4)... sometimes that can make a difference in how things print out. Let me know if that still doesn't work!

Forget my last question! I am perfectly fine with introducing vertice...my problem: When I went to print some of the colored shapes for the sort, there are several of the shapes that have blocked out white rectangles on them. Any reason?

Are you referring to the "Shapes in the Real World" Picture sort? With the colored pictures of things like the candy corn, tornado, calculator, etc.? I just want to make sure I know exactly which part you are talking about!

My kids aren't going to understand "vertice" in first grade...do you have other worksheets that look the same that can say corners or angles?? Otherwise, I can't feel comfortable purchasing right now.

Hi there! If you purchase my unit, I would be happy to e-mail you a set of those worksheets with the word "corners" instead of "vertices". Would that address your concern? Please let me know! Thanks!
