userpj re: Antonym Pictures Cards for Grades 2-5
Hi I bought this Page 9 (frame 10 on Adobe pdf) is blank. All my other pdf work so I don't think the problem is on this end.
This is excellent, except on the Wallys Brick word game, the words are so tiny.
Thank you.

Hi - What size are the cards? And do you have a bundle pack for the picture cards - synonyms, antonyms, homophones? Thank you.

I'm sorry I don't have a bundle pack right now. It's a good idea and I'll have to look into it. Sorry I don't have that set up for you now.

The cards print to standard letter size. 8 1/2x11, however some teachers have printed to larger/ snaller sizes. It's a PDF, so I think it can be printed any size. But it is formatted to letter size.

Wally's Wall is free. Enjoy. The blackline book is for sell. The book is for elementary school. Several blacklines have 2 versions for younger and older students. We do have some junior high teachers who are using Everyday Vocabulary Blacklines, but the majority are grades 1 - 6. The blacklines don't have too many graphics so that it can be easily reproduced. You will see Wally on some of them as he is our mascot. I'm sure you'll love it. Once I teach a blackline it can be used throughout the year... I love things like that. Hope you like it. -Cari Viramontes (co-author of Everyday Vocabulary Blacklines).

Do these blacklines have pictures on them like the "Wally" worksheet? Are they similar in challenge level?

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a Reading Intervention Specialist for a Title I school Southern Calfornia since 2005. I work with grades K-5, helping students who are struggling to learn to read. Before that I was a classroom teacher for 7 years. I've been a Mentor Teacher and have also been an Adjunct Prof. at California Baptist University.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Research-driven, fast paced, creative, fun, and effecient. I don't like wasted time and therefore I always search for ways to "kill two birds with one stone". I firmly believe in the benefits of direct instruction. I also firmly believe that all children need to express themselves through music/art/dance... We can inspire children though our enthusiastic attitude and positive classroom environment. But that also has to be backed up with the best research-based teaching strategies.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

The best award I ever received says "World's Best Mommy" I was chosen to be a National Board Certified Teacher in Reading Language Arts. I have also been a featured and guest speaker at various conferences including California Reading Association, CABE, and Effective Schools Conferences. I have also been asked to give staff developments and all-day trainings on Effective Vocabulary Instruction. I have also been honored by Riverside Community College for mentoring their Americorp volunteers.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA in Liberal Studies; Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential with CLAD emphasis and a supplimental in English; Masters of Science Degree in Education with a specialization in Reading; CA Reading Certificate; National Board Certified Teacher

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am married to a fabulous, supporting husband and we have 3 wonderful children. In my spare time I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family, reading a good classic novel, and interpreting for the deaf at my church.
