TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching kindergarten for the past 7 years and love every minute of it! Prior to that, I taught 5th grade, subbed at all grade-levels and was the director at a local tutoring agency. Before earning my teaching certificate, I was a site director for a before and after school care program, a camp counselor, private baby sitter and bible school assistant. Children are my life!!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hands on, child directed, integrated instruction.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was blessed to be part of the first cohort of the Merck Institute for Science Instruction (MISE) Teacher Leadership Academy. I spent three summers (one week each year) in residence at the program learning the latest science instructional methods. One of the best take aways was the use of talk moves which I highly recomend that you Google.
