It was not noted that this book was published in 1997. It's over 10 years old. This doesn't mean it won't still be useful, but it would have been nice to know.

Sorry about that! I didn't know there were newer editions. It's the same one I used at the university a few years back. Next time I sell one of the books still on my shelves, I'll make sure to mention the edition (I thought that the ISBN was sufficient!)

The book is brand new, but it's actually a "proof" (it says "proof" on the last page). I am the author, and got this proof done when preparing the Amazon.com edition.
