I do have a problem with a couple of the pages, though. The dotted cutting and/or folding lines are not printing. I'm wondering if they're too light.

Thanks,

Hi! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break! I love all of your products and have purchased several, including classroom theme sets. I am looking forward to next year and would love to do a "Royal Theme." The fairy tale (thistle girl) items are adorable, but I wouldn't need most of them. Would you be willing to make a theme just using the royals (princess, prince, king, queen) castle, and dragons but not the other fairy tales?

Sorry. This is a better forum for questions. I do enjoy many blogs but I was asking specifically about your penguin information. I looked at the creature site we often use but it doesn't use all the vocabulary you listed so I was wondering what you use?

I guess the best answer is my years of experience. These are all just words that I recall using a lot when I've used penguin activities in my classroom. There are so many different programs out there that I couldn't begin to cover them all. I hope that answered our question. ;-)

Ya I drew the dimensions. I think it may be too small for them to see being posted somewhat high on my whiteboard. Hard to tell. is their a way to make them larger, even large enough where its just one on each paper, maybe not quite the whole paper size but bigger? I really like yours but like I said might be too small.

I really like the look of this product. I sort of have the feeling it may be too small being the 4 1/2 dimensions you mentioned earlier in a post. I was wondering if they can be made larger, possibly a little smaller or at least the size of a regular sized paper. Or would you be able to email me one example that I can print off and see if the current size will work for what I have in mind? I am posting them on my white board and think it may be too small for the kids to really see. Thanks

If you turn a paper sideways, two of them will fit one above the other with a little margin.

Annemarie N. re: Common Core Standards - Second Grade "I Can" Statements
Cyndie,

Hi! Sorry to contact you during Winter Break, but, I have a really big need. I've purchased a few products from you, one of which was Common Core Standards - Second Grade. (I don't think you have it any more.)

Here's my need…my district/principal expects us to post our Common Core Standards with "I can…" statements now. When I purchased your "Common Core Standards - Second Grade", they didn't specify this, and I've been "dinged" on each of my walk-throughs because of the standards I have posted that I purchased from you earlier. They don't care that I paid for them.

I've been handwriting the standards so they are in the "I can" format. But, I love how your product had the pictures that help my kids remember what they are learning (especially my low readers).

So…is there any way I can get your newer "Common Core Standards - Second Grade "I Can" Statements" at a discount? If not, I TOTALLY understand. I will buy them anyway.

Thanks for your time and talent!

Hi there! There are several standards related to nouns and verbs. I do not know what grade you teach, so I couldn't find the exact standards for you. www.corestandards.org lists them all for each grade level. Also, there are many products available on TPT for tracking the standards. ;-)

Terri F. re: Common Core Idea Binder {Binder Cover and Section Pages}
I have seen lots of binders for Common core and I think yours is the cutest. I was wondering if you had a one that added "RLA" (or ELA) or "Math" to the top of the front cover and spine? Or if you had the cover in red and blue so that I can have one for RLA and one for Math

Or...maybe a different Lang. Arts cover for each main domain (reading literacy, reading information, writing, language, foundations, etc..) because one binder is not enough to hold all of what I've been able to collect.

September 30, 2013 Report inappropriate comment
Chalk One Up for the Teacher
It's not actually a unit per say. If you have your students take one of the many Multiple Intelligence surveys out there, you will find their strength as to what type of a learner they are. Each board is labeled with one of the intelligences. The activities on the board should be activities that really appeal to them based on their results. It's great for early finishers or students who test out of whatever academic unit you are doing.

Sorry me again. I made the purchase, but was wondering if there is a way to enlarge the numbers and letters. They are BEAUTIFUL, but they are way too small for me to use for the word wall or to put the numbers above my whiteboard. I would LOVE to use them all over the room, but need them to be larger so students can see them. I LOVE the colors and artwork, AMAZING!!!!! I want to be able to use it all over my room :) thank you.

I am so crazy busy getting my classroom ready. When do you start school or when do you need them?

Buyer re: Room Themes ULTIMATE! - In the News
Is it possible I could buy the blank signs with the newspaper border? Or if I could have a display poster that says "Newsworthy Work"? Thanks so much!

The newspaper border actually came from my friend Randi's store. I would LOVE to help you, but I am actually scrambling making stuff for my own classroom. Where exactly did the summer go? Here's the link to her store: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Teachesthirdingeorgia

What font did you use to make the neon/chalk posters? I would like to purchase the classroom decoration set, and am wondering if I can purchase that font somewhere in order to personalize the blank posters you created.

I love this theme and want to purchase it but I was just wondering about the months font. Is there anyway you could change the font to a capital for the first letter and lowercase for the rest? I am just wanting proper letter formation for my K/1 as it will be up all the time. Thanks. -----Thank you for the reply and for changing it :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 20 years at two different schools. I have taught first, second and third grades. Now I am off on a new adventure. Our school is creating accelerated classrooms in each grade level and I will be teaching the second grade one!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love getting children excited about learning and will pretty much do whatever it takes to "hook" a child. Since I teach first grade, I think it's essential to lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Our state is one of the many states that has adopted the Common Core, so look for many activities/items that related to the CCSS. I also work hard to try and have a "cute" room, so you will find many theme-related items in my store.
