Kim E. re: 2nd grade - Academic Vocabulary for Language Arts
This sounds interesting - what academic words are used though?

Great question, I've taken a core list suggested by grade level from the Oklahoma state department of education if you google building academic vocabulary Oklahoma you will find the link with the words I use per grade level. See my blog chalktalkspeechtherapy.blogspot.com for a direct link to the websites page if you'd like. Hope this helps, and should soon have kg and 3-4 complete. I think these lists really help parents understand what is expected of their child, and how they can be falling behind and do poorly on test if they do not understand these core terms...Alicia

I matched up your cards and one of them is incorrect. You have rich on the snail and rich on the mushroom. The mushroom should be poor.

Hi, I love this idea, and will hopefully be purchasing it for next year, as soon as I figure out where I am going to be next year. I have a question about the clipart...I see that there are lots of people on TpT using the same type of clipart, can I ask where you buy it from? Thank you so much for all your help.
