I have five years of teaching experience in Title One schools. The four years I have been teaching 5th grade, preparing students for the state standardized test where they must pass math and reading in order to be promoted. I am currently a 6th grade Science teacher.
My teaching style is creative, culturally responsive, practical, rigorous, and relevant. When I introduce a skill I make it a point to connect them to the real life/world application based on their cultural background.
The past two years that I have taught 5th grade, half of my homeroom students exceeded the tested math standard and all passed.
I received my bachelor's degree in Public Rhetoric with a completed minor in music (voice emphasis) at GA college and State University in Milledgeville,GA. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Educational Leadership at American Intercontinental University.
