Yes. There are blackline and color of all the pics. I used the color pics to do my sample when I showed the kids how to complete it and made copies of the blackline pics for the kids.

You won't need to buy them again. Once you have bought them they will stay in your purchases and you can download updates anytime I make them available. It works like that for any purchase (not for free items) that you make on tpt. You will see an alert on your list of purchases that says it's been updated and you should download the update.

I think they're great, it's just that my school does not allow any religious holiday activities. I went through and put things in there that I knew were in the core and things that were easy to explain and for parents to do at home. I included reading skills, letters/sounds, math, and writing. In my instructions to parents this is the first line: "Homework will be assigned for the first 4 weeks in the month. If there is a 5th week consider it a little vacation. You will only be responsible for Home Reading minutes during the 5th week. Please begin the first week when you receive that month’s homework."
If the month begins in the middle of a week I usually just send it home the first Monday of the month. Sometimes I will send it home the Monday before, it just depends on my schedule or if the month is short like December (because of holidays) or February.

This is the second year our Kindergarten has used these and we just realized that I missed the O book. I didn't realize there was a typo on the parent letter. I will correct both errors and post an update. It will likely be after June 1st (you know the end of the year craziness!)

The homework packets were designed for my Kindergarten students but depending on your school might be appropriate for your students. The homework has activities that are easy to do and that only take a few minutes each day. I have had another teacher ask about me making one for first grade. I am thinking about trying to do one over the summer that would be aligned to the 1st grade common core. It will all depend on the classes I'm taking.

Thanks for getting back to me and being willing to make some changes for Canadian content. I realize there are quite a few changes so if you are unable to do this, I will understand. In October, we do not celebrate Columbus Day, but we do have Thanksgiving - we celebrate First Nations people, not pilgrims. In November, Thanksgiving Day and Election Day needs to be omitted. We do not have Veteran's Day - ours is called Remembrance Day (perhaps you could include a picture of the Canadian Flag). We do not have President's Day in February. In May, we do not celebrate Cinco de Mayo or May Day, but we do have Victoria Day on May 21st. As I said before, I know this will be a lot of work to change. If you don`t want to put in specific Canadian content just making the picture/words generic would work, too, or with your permission I could alter the document by the old fashioned cut and paste (literally) way.

I went in to edit these and apparently don't have the correct font. I will have to do it after I get my disk from school on Tuesday or I will have to edit the font size on every card. Look for the update soon.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I didn't realize I had a message. Right now September through February has been added. I will be adding March through May soon and will update and notify buyers to re-download. The assignments are probably pretty easy for higher level 1st graders. None of the assignments are meant to be very difficult. They are designed to be a review of concepts in order to give students the practice and responsibility of returning their homework on a regular basis. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Ciny, where do you teach at? I live in West Jordan also and teach at Copper Canyon Elementary. I teach first right now, and might go to K next year. I am 53 and am worried I am too old. It sounds like you are very experienced how is K working out for you. I love your ideas! Thank you!

I teach at Elk Meadows. It's funny you should ask right now...I have really enjoyed K for the past 7 yrs. It is definitely a lot of work. I am starting to seriously consider moving back up to 3rd since there will be an opening at my school and I kinda miss doing more in depth reading and having the kids be able to do things like read and not cry :)

I guess I need to update that. There are 2 pages for beginning sounds, 2 for middle, 2 for ending, 2 for beginning digraphs. Then I have included one blank page (no pictures) for each category so you can use stamps to stamp in pictures if you have them. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a couple of suggestions that might help you to better market your products. First, create a cover page which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. Also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product in the classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Thanks for your rating and your hints. I have done cover pages and instructions on many items but unfortunately had my computer break down on me in August :( I have been using my husband's laptop when I can wrestle it away from him so the things I have had to redo that were on another program I just did as quick as I could and posted.
I like your product and would have definitely used that when I taught preschool. I will post a rating.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I have the letter and a list to keep track of the kids and their assignment, I will find them and add to it. Right now I use science projects from a book so I can't sell them. I'm off right now so I can't tell you the name of it. I just bought a couple of new books that I hope are even better. I can let you know the titles after I go into the school.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I now teach Kindergarten. I have been teaching 14 years and have taught 5th & 6th as a writing specialist, 3rd and preschool as well. I taught 3rd for 5 yrs, and K for 7 years. During some of that time I taught part time and had a private preschool in my home in the afternoon for 5 years.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I feel it is important to engage students with activities that increase interest. I like to do hands on activities as much as possible and then have students complete a worksheet or writing activity to show what they have learned.I feel that writing is important in all subjects.
