Foir $5.00 I thought I was getting all of the Social Studies things to study for CRCT. page 9 was blank..maybe it was there? Naming the rivers and showing me Latitude/longitude etc. fine but what else were we to learn about our land? What else about the equator etc.? What you have is fantastic...I thought you'd be thorough about everything! Worth $3.00 what you have NOT $5.00...very dissapointed.

I am very sorry you feel that way. I literally threw this together at the last minute for my students and thought others might benefit from it. I will take your critique into consideration and make revisions. Was there anything other than Equator and Prime Meridian you would like me to add? Thank you for your honesty-I am human and no where close to perfect :) I am not sure how you paid $5 either...the product is only $2.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. I too am teaching this for the first time and didn't know how to provide practice. I work at a University model school, where we write plans for parents to follow through in a home study 3 days a week. This will give me what I need to have them work at home as well!

I would have liked to see more examples where students could draw out the area model in a proportional manner on a grid like what was depicted in the parent letter. Students input the numbers into what basically becomes an algorithm.

Absolutely fantastic unit--great for helping kids understand exactly what they are doing when they multiply, especially with larger numbers. Nice graphics--cheerful but not distracting. Very useful resource! Thanks!

This was a very useful resource for my third graders. I liked the parent note explaining the process. By the end of the unit my class understood what 2 digit and 3 digit multiplication meant.

Thank you! You should check out my I Heart Grid Multiplication unit if you are teaching multiplication this way. It contains worksheets with the grids already made and even a letter to explain the process to parents.

Hi! I like your spelling homework menu of fun and I would send that home for parents to give them ideas of how to help their children to practice. However, I noticed that it is in PDF and it has your name at the top (so therefore I can't change that). Would it be possible to have a copy that does not have your name on it (even better, one with just the ideas to send home, not one that directs that they have to write down which one they did and report that)?

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I spent 7 wonderful years as a 2nd grade teacher. This year, I moved with my class to 3rd grade. I'm loving all of the new challenges and seeing the growth that happens from 2nd to 3rd grade. It really is incredible to see just how much kids can learn!
MY TEACHING STYLE
My classroom has been described (by my principal) as "organized chaos in a good way". I am constantly in small groups or conferencing with my students about everything! I try to differentiate everything I do. That can be overwhelming at times, so I try to create activities that "self differentiate".
