Hi Stacey, Unfortunately, the file is not editable as it is a locked PDF. What I always recommend, and what works really well, is printing your text onto address labels and adhering those to the labels. The added bonus is that you can then simply place new labels over them and not need to reprint the entire label. Thanks for your interest! Happy Summer. :) Jodi

Hi there! I am interested in buying this but wanted to ask about the size first. On the thumbnails, there are maybe 20 words per page. Is that how it is set up in the actual product? Are the words big enough for students to see from across the room? I am just worried that students may not be able to see this unless they are a foot or two away. Thanks for your help!

Do you have a weekly sheet with the different behavior "stages" so that we can keep a daily record of the children's behavior? That would help with documentation for conferences and report cards. Another seller had it for hers, but I liked your camping bundles better. On a completely different subject, have you thought about making Daily 5 cards with the animals you use for the camping theme? I am changing grade levels and am SO excited to to change themes and use it as much as possible. Thanks!

Good Afternoon, I don't have a question but more of a comment. I've been teaching for 13 years now and I got a chance to view one of your Youtube tutorials/explanations/demonstrations or what have you and I wanted to personally tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the information that you offered. I'm not as tech savey as I should be but I'm interesting in reading/joining your blog. Now I have to read more on what a blog is but whatever it is I'm sure it is going to be beneficial (but I will have to do that on my own time this summer during the break). Nonetheless, again, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the two explanations that I saw online (Classroom Procedures, Restroom Procedures) and that I would recommend them and your store to both veteran and rookie teachers alike. Good morning! I am a first grade teacher, formerly PK teacher. I just finished my masters in May (yea!) with a degree in Mind, Brain and Education – a subfield of education. The first program was started at Harvard by Howard Gardner and Kurt Fisher (if you haven’t read any of Kurt Fisher’s work on Skill Theory and you are interested in the cognitive processes involved in learning, you must read his work!)
Cut to the chase. When I moved up from PK to 1st I was shocked by my students’ lack of number sense. I spent an entire year and all last summer trying to figure out what was missing. In Nov I attended a workshop that on number sense. When I heard the presentation I recognized all the “big” names of the research I had been investigating. The workshop was a training session for an iPad app (Native Numbers). It seemed like a valid, robust app, but I am a skeptic and had to know: would this really work.
I am here to tell you that with the first skill set I saw every cognitive model of learning embedded in this app. I also realized that this app is more than a learning tool; it has built in formative and summative assessment as it is adaptive and levels up and down based on student performance and leads to mastery.
Now I am on a “mission” – everything we read tells us our students are lacking number sense. I believe this app is a fabulous tool to remediate those deficits. I have no vested interest in this app except that I am one of those people that has to solve problems and when I think I have found possible answers, I have to share that with others. Our kids are too important not to share---which is why I love reading blogs! I am asking for teachers to simply read the research and then try out the app and give me feedback---or give the feedback yourself to the developers. I am that convinced. I am not a salesman and I feel quite strange in this new role I have taken upon myself…but I have nothing to lose, or gain, except knowing that maybe we can have an enormous impact on our students!

My mind is spinning with reorganizational energy even though I have 2 days of school left (and 1/2 of that is for ORGANIZING). I have one little problem. I teach in Spanish Immersion and must have everything in Spanish. Is there any possibility of working together to make some Spanish language items? Or any editable items such as some of your "freebies"? Mil gracias.

Before I purchase this, I'd like to know if it is appropriate for middle school (6-8) special education, self-contained, Functional Academics Classroom for students with intellectual disabilities. It is very hard to find things that are on their level, but also age-appropriate.

A question I have for you is this...
I think I ordered the wrong versions of your math and reading workshop designs. I meant to order the designs with the colorful "kid" icons. Since I teach 2nd grade, I thought the visuals would be more beneficial to my students than the blackline "word only" versions. Is there a way to obtain the colorful versions? I was going to just rebuy them from your site...but I can't find them.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Over the years I have worked my way up from Preschool to Kindergarten to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I've been in third grade for 6 years and simply adore teaching this age. My experiences have included inner-city and neighborhood schools in the suburbs. I've loved both for different reasons.

I strive to create an organized classroom environment in which the students are able to be independent learners. It thrills me beyond words when a sub leaves me a note that reads, "The room runs itself." That's my goal. :)
