As I mentioned our second graders have never done Fundations. I am trying to decide what they will need and wanted a "pretest". We bought all the Fundations second edition. We plan to break the class into group based on need. I would be interested in something that captures where their gaps may be.I just reviewed the Unit 1 Test(end of year). Perhaps that is all I need? I so appreciate your input.
If there is something that you (as the expert) feel that would be beneficial, I am willing to pay.

Confessions of a Teachanista (TpT Seller)
I did not include a writing component, because Fundations includes a writing component with their program. After each week, the students are given a unit assessment where they write the letters that make up the sounds, words, trick words, and sentences. I use this tool, but I would happy to put something together for you if you are interested.

I use the assessment, like I would use the DIBELS, I benchmark the students in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. It helps me to monitor their progress with the program and the skills. I have the students read the words from the list (aka - student copy). On the teacher copy, I check the words they read correctly and the ones they didn't. It also helps me to group students and ensure that they are working on new skills. I looked at other assessments I had seen on this website and tried to price it accordingly. I hope this information helps and if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
