It was not quite what I was expecting as far as higher-level thinking and deep questioning. When I saw the page count, I also thought it was a bit deceiving to see that almost half of the pages were answer keys. I could have done without the answer keys and used more content and printable pages, since I'm buying this product. It is something I can use, and I feel this is not a bad rating at all. It's a fair rating for what you are getting.

I'm currently typing up the words my middle school students used to describe each other. It brings tears to my eyes. I printed off my class roster and had student fill in 3 words each, including for themselves. I cannot wait to give these to students on the last day of school. What a terrific send off to summer!

I was getting pretty emotional as well when I typed in their words to describe each other. It's a nice reminder to have them focus on the positive - middle schoolers can be tough on each other sometimes.

I love this idea! I am going to try it next week! Instead of using your sheet I am going to have each student have their own sheet and rotate each paper so that it will be easier to input it into wordle. Thanks for the idea, I am very excited!

Because we were reading this novel near the end of the year, it was extremely hard to determine how I would keep the students focused. Having them journal as citizen of the city was fantastic. My students loved this activity. They have never been this enthusiastic about journaling...ever. I can't wait to use it again next year.
