Hi there - I am sorry that you're having difficulty opening the file. If you attempted to open it in Word or Pages as you indicated in your message, that could be the issue. This particular file was loaded as a Zipfile, for which you would need a free unzip program (I use altools.net for mine) to unzip the file. Once unzipped, there are 2 files inside which are in PDF format. Neither of those would be able to be opened in Word or Pages either. My suggestion is that you re-download the product and unzip, then open with the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have that program, it can be downloaded for free from Adobe.com. If you are still having difficulty with it, you can contact TPT Support, and they can help you from there. Thank you! Danielle

Hi Danielle, I have been reading the forums and see that you are very passionate about copyright infringement, etc. and are disturbed when you see others do this. You also seem to have a lot of legal knowledge in this area, which I admire. However, I also have noticed that on TPT you have a product that uses the word 'superbowl' in the title, and have found via Pinterest that you have 2 products on Etsy that are Pete the Cat and refer to Pete the Cat {and also P.e.t.e. the cat, which we know is the same thing}. I guess I'm just wondering how you are so opposed that others do this, yet...well you know. I am not trying to pick a fight, which is why I am not posting this for the world to see on a forum. It's just that this seems hypocritical.

mrsteachergirl, Thank you for your message. You are correct that I am passionate about copyright infringement, and I also am well versed in the law. That being said, my products do not violate any laws. If they did, they would not be in my store. My Super Bowl packet did not violate any trademarks or copyrights. Usage of the specific logos were done so in compliance with written permissions. (The NFL lost the Super Bowl trademark earlier this year). The "Pete the Cat" products you are referring to are not listed on Teachers Pay Teachers, even though I was given permission from Paul to re-list them as they do not violate trademarks or copyrights. I also personally communicated with the Author AND the Publishing company regarding my products. I complied with their wishes. Perhaps the best way to explain the difference to you is that I followed proper protocol and have appropriate permissions. TPT created policy pertaining to "no Seuss" products last year due to Cease and Desist letters that were submitted to TPT. Paul asked all sellers to remove Seuss products in the January Newsletter. Many sellers complied with his request, but many did not. This in itself made an uneven playing field for many sellers. My opposition as you worded it has to do with a policy that was made, and not upheld for everybody. There may be some Seuss products currently listed that are in compliance with copyright/trademark rules if they were submitted to Random House and granted permission as there is a mechanism to do that on the Seussville website. I hope that this clears up your confusion. I can assure you that there is no hypocrisy on my end, but rather you didn't have all the facts. It's important to know the path (location of download) so that you can go to the file and open it after it has downloaded. The file is a "zip" file so it will need to be "unzipped" using a free unzip program (www.altools.net). Inside the file will be a PDF document and the folder with the GIF editable pages. If the file is downloading and not completing, (t will take a few minutes because the file is large), please send an email to Teachers Pay Teachers for technical support. When I click on each of the editable files an internet page opens with a blank box. Almost like it is going to give a preview... but I can't see anything. Can you send me the files in another format?? Or give me a suggestion on how to open them?

Hi Jennifer... When you open the Zip file, there is a PDF file and a folder with the editable files. The editable files are in .Gif format (as noted in the listing). You will need a photo editing software like Paint Shop Pro, or Photoshop, or PAINT, to edit them. It sounds like you were trying to open the editable files in Adobe, and that won't work. .Gif files are standard, so you would be able to open them right up in the photo editing software and add your text. It provides block spaces for writing, and it has some cute bee decorations that coordinate with the complete set. The bee newsletter template comes in editable format as well as part of the PDF allowing the purchaser to type their text in the spaces provided or hand write. I just bought your Bee packet and cannot open it. I have tried on both my mac and pc. I can open everything but cannot edit the four or five files that are editable. I am not computer savvy but I do know how to use Adobe REader. It says "cannot open file".

Missy - Your message is a bit confusing. You state that you can't open it, but then you state you can open everything but cannot edit the editable files. Once you downloaded the Zipfile, and unzipped it - You would find a folder containing the editable files separate from the PDF document. The "editable" files are standard "Gif" images, which text can be added using any photo altering software like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Paint, etc. Your Adobe Reader would not be the program to open the editable files in. Yes. Quite a few of the games on the CD would be perfect for young learners. They have enough flexibility that they can gradually increase their skills. I've been adding extras to the CD's as well that would also be age appropriate.

Thanks for your note. I am sorry you're having downloading the file. Do you have the most current Acrobat Reader installed? It is a huge file, (38 MB). It's best to download completely (right mouse click/ Save As) before trying to open it. If you still have difficulty, email me directly at KinderPrintables@aol.com Others have purchased the same file and haven't had issue with it downloading. Please try downloading it again.

Hi Diane, the reason why there are not full blank pages is that I had been working off of word lists, and that's how they lined up per page. Yes, I can include full blank pages. I think I need to reload the revised packet. I will take care of that in just a few minutes. I also can make other word cards if you need them. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been creating original learning materials for grades Preschool - 2nd grade for the past 12 years. I have a background working with children from birth through 7th grade. Specifically working with children with learning challenges and behavioral issues. Before I began creating full time, I worked in the public school system working with hard to reach kids that had severe behavioral issues combined with learning challenges. I worked directly with school administrators,counselors, social workers, and legal guardians to create workable plans for each child.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I believe in teaching the individual child. Not all children learn the same way, and not all lesson plans are flexible enough to reach the children that have special learning considerations. All of the materials that I create are designed to be adapted to the children they are intended for.
