14 years, whew! Time sure does fly! I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade, both self-contained; taught math small-group intervention for 3rd-5th grades; taught Talented and Gifted for grades 3 thru 7; currently, I am teaching math to students in grade 4! Math is my favorite subject.
My teaching style is a mixture of whole-group instruction, small-groups, peer tutoring, drill and practice, discovery and experiments...in other words, I change my instruction based on what I'm teaching and how I feel my students will benefit the most. I differentiate my instruction for my students based on teacher-observation and written assessments.
