I have twelve years teaching experience, in both the regular and gifted classroom. For nine years, I have worked with intellectually gifted students in grades 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8. I have taught 6th grade English and Science, and 7th grade Honors Science and regular Science.
I am an energetic, hands-on teacher. My goal is for my students to truly love learning. I believe they must be active partcipants in the learning process. I differentiate for my students based on interest and learning style by giving them choices and alternate assessment methods. Incorporating research, hands-on science, technology, cooperative grouping, critical and deductive thinking, and creative lesson planning, I love giving my students challenging and engaging learning experiences!
