The task cards are great for what you did. I have to remember that one. I used them in our "MacCenter." For each ACT we assigned cards. Yes. I've been asked this before and it seems like the consensus is--it all depends on where you are geographically. I'm in NJ, and it would be appropriate. The Simpsons clip can be switched out...The clips from Big Bang and weird Al are cute and fine to show. Email me at studyallknight@gmail.com. Go to this link http://about.pinterest.com/goodies/ and drag the pin it button up to the top of your bookmark bar (under where you put in a website address). Danielle - just learned something and thought you might want to know too. If you pin using the little "pin it" button that TPT has, the pins look really small when they show up on the main page. Hi Trish! I would say 3 weeks. Between the notes, lecture, discussion, performance days, test day... and you can allow time in class to work on masks, along with rehearsal/ pair work. You can stretch it out...by adding a day or two to write scripts, etc. assign the mask project and allow a week to work on it at home and in allotted class time. Good question.

Power Point was never my favorite, but now I find it so useful and I actually went onto youtube to learn how to do some tricks. Check it out. You can also save your slides as jpegs pngs, etc.

Hi Diana! Since I've been on TpT I learned in the forum that PowerPoint is so much more than "slides" I love it for the consistency And its so easy to manipulate images and fonts. I still use photoshop quite a bit to edit pics and create layers.
I'd say powerpoint is the best...particularly the newest version.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am in my 10th year teaching High School English Language Arts. I also taught High School dramatic arts and dance. I spent some summers teaching elementary school enrichment and head start. I love being a special education English teacher. This year I am in my 4th year teaching 11th grade English in an in class resource environment. This September, 2013 I will teach a class called Tomorrow's Teachers! I'm so excited! In addition to teaching, I've been a HS softball and girls tennis coach, a staff core team member of PBSIS, Theatre director and choreographer.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Constructivist, differentiation, positive reinforcement. Recently chosen to participate in a pilot program focusing on team teaching, differentiation, and creating a 21st century classroom.

I am married to an elementary physical education teacher and we have 2 sons, 3.5 years old and 1 year. We live at the Jersey Shore and enjoy everything it has to offer.
