Rainbow writing is where you put markers on the table and the children use different colors of markers to write the words over and over again until they have used all the colors of the rainbow. (You laminate the words first though so that you can just wipe the markers off after writing and reuse again)

Thank you so much for downloading it. You will lose the motion of the fish after you change the names. So after you have all of the names on the fish and then have them "regrouped", click on edit at the top of your smart board task bar. Your objects (fish and Name) have to be regrouped into one box. Then click select all and it should show a box around all of the ocean animals. Now select the tab on the left side of your smart board that shows the capital letter A and colored squares. This will open a side window area. You will see different layers of gray tabs that show different areas you can go to. Click on the one that says "object animation". This will open a drop down area. Click on the tab that says "Type". Click on Fly out. Then click on the "Direction" tab. Click either left, right, or bottom or top.(Whichever way you would like for it to fly out.) Now click on the "Speed" tab. Choose fast. Now click on the "Occurs" tab. Choose the option that says "when the object is clicked". Then click on "file" at the top of your smart board and click save. You will have to do this again next year when you change the names. I wish there was a way to keep the motion when you change the names, but there isn't. It is really quick once you get the hang of it. Thanks again for your feedback!!

Kindergarten by Design (TpT Seller)
Hi! I am a Kindergarten teacher here in Texas. I have a question for you. Does your school use CSCOPE for curriculum? If so, how long? Our district just rolled it out for us to begin using it. I love it, but many of my colleagues are overwhelmed and do not like it at all. Did anyone on your faculty have the same problems? Can you tell me how your school overcame the issues? Of course these questions are assuming you do use it. I really appreciate any help you can give me.

What is your email address? I will email you the pages that show the different size cactus. There are six of them. First the children measure them with stars and then they measure them with a ruler. There is a recording sheet that the children use to record their answers. The ruler and the stars they use to measure with are on the bottom of the recording sheet. If you do purchase the unit, I would appreciate any feedback that you could give me so that I know that my activities are appropriate.
