Can it be possible for you to send me the explanations of the answers, thank you.

Hello Ana J,
This is the first time I've been asked to do this in all the years I've sold this item. I'm not sure this is necessary with how the power point is set up. Is this for a school or a home-schooler?

How do I save it to my computer?
April 2, 2014
David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hello Suzanne P,
Not sure why you couldn't save it to your computer. Please do the following:
Contact Tpt - they are very good at helping out with technical issues. Just go to their site, click on the "Contact" link at the bottom of the page. When you do this you will open what is called a "ticket". Fill out the simple form telling them the problem and they'll get back to you. They should be able to help you. Thanks.

Sarah Tainow  (TpT Seller) re: Exponents Powerpoint Fun Quiz
Thanks. I can open it on my computer with no prob, but I want to bring my kids to the computer lab and have them all do it at once. The easiest way to do things like that is to add a link to my webpage that is only there for that class period. They all click and follow it to do the quiz. Anyway, hopefully TpT tech support helps me. I also wanted to know approximately how long I should expect it to take the kids... I know it will vary especially since it starts over, but an estimate would be helpful. Thanks!
March 2, 2014
David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hi Sarah Tainow,
What a great idea taking them all at once to the computer lab to work with this. I bet they'll enjoy it and be a little frustrated too which is perfectly ok.
Time? I'd say anywhere from half an hour on up. Some of the questions are a little tough and tricky and if they start again they have to start from the beginning as you know. Some of the students may not even finish it in a class period. Suggestion - anyone who does finish early tell them to go back and see if they can beat their time going through the program.
I'm sure Tpt will help. The reason I save it as a "show" is that it's a lot harder for someone to change the program and then resell it as their own.
I'd love to hear how the class reacted when you take them down to the computer lab to use it. Feel free to let me know. Thanks.

Hi Sarah Tainow,
The powerpoint was saved as a "show" which means it opens automatically. I'm not sure why you can't save it but I do have a solution. Please go to Tpt's website - they're so good at technical stuff. At the bottom of the Tpt page, click on the "Contact" link. When you do this, you'll open what is called a ticket. Fill out the small form and tell them the problem They're very good at helping and getting back to people. Please try them - they should be able to tell you what to do. Thanks.

Hello julekale,
I believe that if you downloaded it you must have it in your computer, but let's make sure.
The powerpoint was saved as a "show" which means it does open automatically. You should be able to save it though. Here's what to do. Please get in touch with Tpt as they really know a lot about technical stuff. Go to their website and at the bottom of the page click the "Contact" link. When you do this you'll open what is called a ticket. Fill out the short form and tell them the problem. They're very good at getting back to you. I hope this helps julekale -

Teaching with Moxie  (TpT Seller) re: Multiplication Facts Powerpoint Three
Hi David! I bought 3 of your PPT's and think they are an awesome idea! I have a few kids who can't be timed and this will fit their needs perfectly.

As I was trying out Multiplication Facts PPT One, I ran into a few glitches and wondered if you could help. I had a few slides where the products weren't present. Sometimes when I would click on the answer, it would not register. Also, some slides would time out quickly, before I could answer and send me to the next slide. I also encountered clicking the right answer, but it said I got it wrong. Can you help? I was using it on Keynote for MAC, as that is how it opened on my computer. I'm not sure what a "PPSX" file is. Is this meant to be PPT? thank you!

Diane

David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hi Diane,
Thank you for your note. And thank you for your purchases. I hope I can help!
I'm not sure why you're having the problems you told me about. The PPSX means it was saved as a Powerpoint SHOW to be used on computers with powerpoint, which you must have. I'm not sure if using it on the Keynote for MAC is causing the problems.
Could you try something Diane? Please contact Tpt and ask them? They are so good at helping and know so much about technical issues. Just go to their website and on the bottom of any page click the "Contact" link. This will open was is called a new ticket. Just fill the simple form in telling them the problem and see what they say. Please try that route now. I'm not sure why you're having these problems.
I'm going to give you my regular email only if you'd like to let me know what happens. I hope I helped somewhat Diane. I'll be waiting to hear from you either through here or my own email. Take care.

Hi, I am interested in purchasing one of your multiplication products and had a question. Are "multiplication Practice and More" and "multiplication Facts and More" the same product?- there product previews are the same. Or....are they different products with different problems, worksheets, etc.

Hello hnneeve,
You're a good shopper! Glad you checked these out.
They are the SAME thing, the same product just under different names to hopefully attract attention. I'm glad you checked them out.
If interested, I have THREE different Powerpoint programs for multiplication facts too. I left you the address below to the first one if you'd like to check it out - just paste it into your address bar.
Thanks for the question hneeve - happy shopping! Anything else I can help you with, just ask!

Tpt has directed me to tell anyone who's having trouble with downloading an item to let "them" know since there's something wrong on their end, so this is what you do - it's easy.
Go to the Tpt website and click on "Contact" you'll find at the bottom of the page. When you do that, you open what is called a ticket - just fill it out telling them what's wrong and they'll take care of it. They're really good at getting back to people.

Speech Therapy Material  (TpT Seller) re: Powerpoint Animation One
Hi, I just happen to stumble across you powerpoint and I have a general TPT question that I can't find the answer to. I'm wondering if you can help me. thank you,

David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hi Dawn,
I think I understand you correctly, that you want to know how I got a "picture" of my powerpoint to show up on the main screen, yes? If that's what you meant, this is how I did it. I opened my powerpoint, clicked on the slide I wanted to show and saved it as a picture, like png. Then when I made my description, I downloaded my own pictures a couple which were saved copies from my powerpoint show. Did this help at all?
Don't hesitate to ask again if this isn't what you meant. I'll gladly help if I can. Take care.

Buyer re: Decimals Powerpoint Fun Quiz
I LOVE the preview for Decimals Fun Quiz but some of the questions are beyond what my kids need. If I purchase it is there a way to edit the questions and responses? I only need questions that go to the thousandths place. Thanks!
September 15, 2013
David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hi Drwhoward,
Thanks for getting in touch! I'm thrilled you liked the Preview you saw for the Decimals Powerpoint Fun Quiz. Thanks for the positive comments.
I totally understand what you're saying about editing the program. To be very honest with you, Tpt has strict copyright laws about products. I can tell you this. I do believe that if you want to change the program for yourself you're allowed to do that as long as you don't "use it" to sell it to others - I think you can understand that. Any changes can only be used by the buyer.
That being said, I can offer this suggestion. The preview AND entire program are sold as Powerpoint "Shows" which cannot be edited. However, if you're pretty good on the computer a "show" can actually be saved as a "presentation" which CAN be edited. Do you think you can do that? IF NOT, get in touch with me and I can send you a little document giving you the steps to do that.
I hope my reply helped. Let me know what you think and don't hesitate to ask me any other questions. Take care.

Mr. Filipeck, I was so surprised to see you here. You probably don't remember me, but I was a student of yours back in 1985/86. I am now a Literacy Specialist at Cesar Batalla School in Bridgeport. I know I was a rough student to work with! I now have my elementary cert. my administration and supervision cert. and most recently my special education cert.

I'm glad to see that you're keeping you hand in education, and just wanted to tell you how glad I am that you were my teacher. You were the best and most influential teacher I ever had.

I'm sure you know I retired a few years ago and I did get involved with Teacherspayteachers and I LOVE doing it. Yes, I still love education and this keeps me part of it.
Thank you so much for the nice compliment you gave me Jason. Seeing you on here brought back nice memories for me.

Thank you SO much for telling me about this. You're right! I actually went over this and had someone else proof read it for me and we didn't see this error. I will correct it immediately and repost it.

Could I take my class to the computer lab and have them all do the program indiviually but at the same time?
March 22, 2013

Hello fulcerdawn,
Thanks for your question. Great question by the way!
Yes, you should be able to do that, BUT you'll have to save the program first in a folder or somewhere where they can each access the program to their individual computers. As long as they open it up on their own computer they should each be able to use it. What an excellent activity that would be in the computer lab!

Hi Deanna,
You feel free to ask me a question anytime!
No, the Equivalent Fractions MatchUps! is NOT part of the set you bought. Actually, I just posted this the other day.
And may I tell you that due to your suggestion, I'm going to try and bundle a group of worksheets all on equivalent fractions. I have quite a few but have never bundled them. It'll take me awhile.
Hope I answered this question for you. Take care.

I totally think you should bundle the operations worksheets...It really makes it so much easier on those teachers, like me, who want to plan ahead and have it all in one purchase and no pun, bundle! I wil be the first customer to buy, for sure! Keep us posted! And again, thank you for all of your hard work!
March 14, 2013
David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hello again Deanna,
Thank you again for your words of wisdom! Now you got me to thinking! Yes, I will bundle more of my products as you suggested. You totally made sense when you said people just want to have one purchase and not waste time. Of course that makes sense! I just posted a new division facts item and will now take time to do some "bundling". I will let you know.
And I must thank you again for appreciating the work I put into my products. Nice of you to say that.

I am looking through all of your fraction work...which is awesome, but I am wondering if you have a bundle pack? I am teaching fractions to a fifth grade special ed class and I love the differentiated components of your work. However, I do not want to buy 10 different packs. I do understand that you need to make a profit though. Let me know!
March 12, 2013
David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hello Deanna,
Thank you very much for your positive comments on my fraction items. Much appreciated!
I totally understand that you do not want to buy 10 different packs. The only "set" of fraction worksheets I have is called Fractions Review & Reinforcement which is ONE pack of 10 worksheets all on different aspects of fractions such as reducing, lowest common denominaotors, equivalent fractions and more, but this does NOT include any actual operations or word problems. Would that work for you? I'm leaving you the actual address below if you want to paste it into your address bar and take a look. BUT, you DID give me an idea. Do you think I should bundle a bunch of operation worksheets? Great idea. I'll think about it. Thank you very much for looking through my fraction items. I hope I answered your question Deanna - do write again if I can help. Take care.

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for getting in touch with me about one of my products.
The only homophones covered in the powerpoint you asked about are very common ones: IT'S, ITS, YOU'RE, YOUR, THEIR, THEY'RE and THERE. Two pairs and one trio.
Thank you for saying it looks great too. That was appreciated. May I share with you I've gotten several feedbacks from teachers saying they really enjoyed using it.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Great teaching to you Jackie!

Carolyn Williams  (TpT Seller) re: Powerpoint Animation One
How do you actually add the slide to a powerpoint that I have already done?

Thanks!

Carolyn fcwilliams904@gmail.com
February 22, 2013
David Filipek  (TpT Seller)
Hi Carolyn,
Your question is pretty easy to take care of.
First of all, open the powerpoint you made. Then open the powerpoint animation slides you got. Click on the little icon on the bottom of the presentations so all the slides show. Do this for each powerpoint.
Next, right click on the slide from the animation you want to add. You should be able to "copy" it now. Click on copy.
Now go to the powerpoint you made. In between the slides where you want to add the animation, right click IN BETWEEN the two slides - you should be able to PASTE...click on paste and the animation slide should go right into where you want it. It should work fine at this point.
I hope this helped Carolyn. Don't hesitate to ask another question if you need to. Take care.

Buyer re: Valentine's Day Alphabet FREE!
Just a heads-up that the link on here to your 3rd grade Word Search is incorrect. Looking at it I realized "Search" was missing the letter "R" and was able to find it. Thought you might like to know.

Hi JoyRenee,
WOW! How did you ever find this mistake? Thank you SO much. Not only was the "R" missing in the 3rd grade word search, it was ALSO missing in the 4th and 5th as well! Maybe that's why I wasn't getting a lot of hits even though I have gotten some!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate it that you took the time to let me know this. That was very nice of you.
I would really like to send you some item of mine to say thank you JoyRenee! Hope to hear from you. And thank you!

3 Curly Girls  (TpT Seller)
Hi! Is the fraction hardcopy workbook the same worksheets you have listed in sets of 10, etc? Does that make any sense? ;-) Thanks!

Hello 3curlygirls!
First of all, I did see that you purchased several of my items. Thank you very much! You bought some of my favorite ones I've made. I'm sure you'll find them useful.
As for your question about the fraction hardcopy workbook - it makes plenty of sense. Please know that the workbook is a soft cover workbook and does NOT have room for any work. It has only a LOT of examples and word problems in it. It is NON-consumable so the kids cannot write in it, only get examples and word problems in it to solve. It does NOT have the same worksheets as in the set of 10, but I must tell you there are some of the same examples here and there throughout the workbook but you'd never know there are so many examples in it.
I hope this answered your question. Please know the workbook is on the smaller side, like 8 1/2 x 7, but loaded with work. I'm actually in the process of selling them to schools besides individuals. If you have any other questions, please contact me here again or you can even use my regular email at: dayfil1@aol.com
Take care 3curlygirls - great teaching to you!

Hi Anthony,
Thanks for checking out the Mental Math Preview. Glad you liked it.
The entire 116 slides is just called "Mental Math". I wrote you the link's address below. You'll just have to paste it into your address bar to go right there. And if you do purchase it, I'd love to know what you thought of it. I've used it many times with my students and they found it quite challenging. Take care.

Hello Tim (I think)
It has been SO long since I've been online for this website. Much has happened in my life since then and I apologize for that. Yes, I do have math facts 3 available and it incorporates addition, subtraction and multiplication facts. It's NOT easy. Do you still want it? I'll send it to you for free since you waited so long to get this response. Please let me know. My email is: dayfil1@aol.com
Take care.
