I taught high school for 34 years and created 95% of the materials my students used in class. I have also worked in an industrial lab doing life cycle and structural texting on office furniture, components, and raw materials.
I like to think I provide a guided discovery approach for my students with materials that teach concepts more than they tell facts and which require student effort before teacher input. Early on I became disappointed with textbooks and began writing my own materials. At first I supplemented the textbooks but eventually I wrote materials that essentially replaced the textbook. I create materials that attempt to teach the same way I would if I were presenting the material face-to-face. My students have even said that they can hear me talking when they read my materials. I will provide you with original files of my materials so you can edit them yourself. If you are anything like me you continually upgrade your handouts based on each year's experience and I want you to have that option.
