Yvonne7 re: Word Wise: Develop Word Attack , Decoding, and Spelling Skills Book
I just opened this product I purchased from you, and it did not download correctly. The page numbers look strange, and several pages are only partially printed. How do I need to fix this problem? I am anxious to use it. I began using it with the first week that was free, and I believe it is going to help my students. I will leave feedback after I work with it a little longer. Thanks for the product.

Is there a per-assessment included?

Thanks for your question!

No. This isn't really an assessment tool. It's a step-by-step program to get children to learn how morphemes and word parts work within words so that they feel confident when tackling multisyllable words such as "disappointment" and "nondenominational." As such, there is assessment other than your realizing, "Great! The student now understands this (through speaking), and I can move on to the next part." Please get the free download to get a clearer understanding of the program.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a teacher for 15 years before I left the classroom to work full-time as a freelance educational writer and editor. I have now been working in the field of instructional design for a decade. During that time, I have written or co-authored more than 80 titles. Some of the materials I have written have won major educational awards, and I have worked on projects published in conjunction with such well-known publishers as TIME For Kids and World Almanac for Kids.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in doing what works! Word Wise works for all students: Your gifted kids will improve their reading skills; your average kids will improve their reading and spelling skills; your ELL and struggling students will improve their reading and spelling skills. But don't take my word for it--try it for yourself: download the first five lessons FREE at www.geocities.com/syllablesense Once you try it, you too will be convinced that this really works. Make your students Word Wise!
