I have been teaching art for the past eleven years and founded the art lesson blog Deep Space Sparkle in 2009 with the hopes of providing dynamic art lessons for school teachers. My blog is an extension of what I do in the art room: painting, drawing and sharing my love of art.
Children and art are a natural combination. I strive to balance direct line instruction, observation techniques and free expression to produce art lesson that every child can use to be successful. I use basic materials and teach techniques that are age appropriate and grade specific. I save my best lessons for my ebooks and provide detailed photo-tutorials taken in the classroom. Art teachers around the world have used my ebooks when developing their art curriculums.
