It includes the words in isolation and within the context of sentences with picture support. I have looked at the preview. It looks like a good activity. I'm actually a retired high school science teacher and not really looking for products to purchase. I have posted a few products recently that I created for my four year old granddaughter. The next time she is here I will show her your preview and get her professional opinion.
My elementary school items are all ActivInspire flipcharts rather than Power Points. I feel that the interactivity of a flipchart helps keep the children involved. Of course they work well with an ActivBoard but they can also just be projected like a Power Point and the chidren can use the mouse at the computer to interact. Or they can be used by individual students at a computer and I guess on an Ipad. If a copy of ActivInspire is not available in a school system the student version can be downloaded for free from Promethean Planet.
My current project is a site word flipchart activity in the form of a story book about my granddaughter, Geneva. It will be narrated by Geneva and will be loaded with interactive features. Send me your email address to dpinkley@gmail.com and I'll be glad to send you a free copy when it's ready.

It is probably a problem with the security setting on your PC. If running Office 2007 there should be a button near the top of the scren when you open the file labeled Options. Click it, then select "enable this content" If using Office 2003, open Excel, then select Tool, Options, Security, Macro Security, and set the level to Medium. Then open the file. It should give a screen that warns about macros. Select "enable macros." I'm writing this from memory because I don't have Office 2003 available, but you should be able to work your way through the screens. If still a problem, email me at dpinkley@gmail.com. Feedback that you succeeded would also be welcome. Be glad to offer advice on administering the game if needed.

You can open it as Read Only without a password. You can then make any desired changes and save the new file using a new name. To open the file allowing changes the password is magic. I have not had too much experience with a Smartboard. I did use an ActivBoard in my class. The game uses Excel but of course would be projected on the Smartboard or ActivBoard. If I remember correctly, I could use the ActivPen to select the buttons at the board. However, I always found it better to have a student run the game from the computer rather than at the board. It should be easy for you to test. Download the sample copy of the game or the free Name Picker and try it. I'm retired, so I no longer have an easy way to test it myself. If your problem is with downloading the file, you may need to get assistance from TPT. If you are having a problem opening the file I should be able to help. The typical problem is dealing with the security settings on your PC which may or may not allow the file to open because it contains macros. The file has been saved as Read Only. This means that if you want to make changes you need to enter the password. This assures that you will always have a copy of the original program. Here is what you need to do. Click the Read Only button and the file will open. even though it is opened as Read Only you will still be able to make changes but will then have to Save As giving it a new name. This will save it with your content using a name that is meaningful to you. Once you open the file you will find an instruction page that will give more info on making changes and Saving the file. It will also tell you the password for opening the file allowing changes.
The other problem that you may experience deals with Security. The program contains a macro and it may not work depending on your security setting and th eversionof Excel being used. Here is how to resolve a security issue.

Hello- I'm looking for a program that will help me put together 8 softball teams from a pool of about 100 girls. The issue is that each girl is allowed to select another girl (or girls) to be on same team with- Do you have anything that will allow me to do that and take all requests into account?

I'm not sure. I've never tried it on a Mac. Do you have to do any thing to allow macros to run? In Office 07 you have to click Options then select enable this content. In older versions the macro security has to be lowered to medium. I will try it on a Mac here and see what I can figure out. Yes it is fairly easy to change the values. Select the tab with the values and unprotect it from the Tools menu. Then use the Replace command from the Edit menu. This will take care of the numbers that are in cells. The ones in the circles will have to be changed individually. Simply click on the number, delete the old number and enter the new number, then click some place else (do not just hit Enter). If you have any problems send me an email and I'll make the changes for you. If you wish you may also send pictures if you want to replace my dog's pictures. If you start using the Bonus Bucks, your students will also enjoy the Balloon Popper program. It's very easy to change the values in this program.

When you opened the program with your security set at high it disabled the macro. Now that you have reset the security to medium, when you open a spreadsheet that has macros you should get a message that tells you that it includes macros and gives you the option to disable or enable the macros. Click the "enable" button (it will be the middle button). The macro should now work.

I can't get the name picker to run. This macro thing is very confusing. I like the sound of many of your ideas but if I can't get the free one to run then I can't purchase the others. Can you make this any easier? I went to tools, then macros and set it to medium. Now what? Thanks for any help.
