My Teaching Experience

I have been teaching for over 30 years. I am currently teaching second grade. But over the years I have taught pre-school through fourth grade.

My Teaching Style

I have loved completing cut and paste art projects since I was a child. In fact my favorite class in college was "kiddie art". As a teacher, I feel that it is important for today’s classroom to put more emphasis on developing a child's spatial and fine motor skills as well as their creativity. In my classroom we decorate the walls with my students cut and paste art projects, each one taking on its own individual character. We also draw lots of maps in addition to writing numerous stories and poems as well as solving math problems suited to the ability of the students.
