Jim, I am sorry you are unhappy with the puzzle. It isn't formatting correctly on Macs, so I redid it. Hopefully this solves the problem. Please download the new version and see if you can use it. (On the FAQ's for TPT this is addressed for PDF's in case this happens to you again.)

I appreciate your comment and suggestion. I have revised the lesson and included two different versions of the questions as a worksheet that can be passed out to students. I do think the price is justified as this activity took quite a while to make. I had to come up with questions whose answers most students would likely not know and then research answers myself. AND the activity will take an entire class period (perhaps more for younger students). If you are not able to download the revision without paying again, please send another comment telling me that and then email me at jolib1@yahoo.com so that I can email you the revised document. In the two years I have been on this site, I have made $110. Since it costs $30 per year to join, I have cleared only $50. As you can see it is no money-maker, especially considering the time it takes to make a crossword puzzle with Excel, but it hopefully helps some teachers. Hope this helps. Donna
