Hi Valery, I will go back and check the word document. I purchased 10000 fonts and download all of those that are in the public domain that I can hold of so I guess I have a bit of OCD lol... They're not all installed (all 10000), but I'll check and get back to you soon.

You're most welcome, thank you so much for the feedback. I realize that there may be one or two "games" or activities in there that are not "Chinese New Year" related, but with the appropriate pictures on, the kids still love to play, like the Bingo for example, it still gives them a sense of the "anticipation". I love to create games as I believe when the children are playing these types of number or word games, they don't even realize that they are learning.

Oh! I am absolutely delighted that they enjoyed it. I am pleased to say that the coloring pictures were created by myself from various forms of clipart, including fonts, would you believe it, so I was quite happy with the final product although I do believe there is room for some improvement, and perhaps even more pictures.

I would have liked to see a more complete secion of conjuncions. The beginning of the sentence is nice, however, I find my kids need the 2nd part also. Leaving it open ended makes it hard for the kids to decide which conjunction to use.

This is VERY thorough and informative. Really too thorough, though, for my purposes. You really have to sort through a lot of information geared toward adults to find the stuff meant for kids. Still, a great way to make sure families are prepared for fires. Thank you.

A unit of this nature is geared to various age groups, including adults as the entire family needs to be prepared in the event of an emergency. I do however think that perhaps you have a very valid point and that the sections could be split into various categories or age groups and I will look into that.

Dear Pam, thank you for stopping by. I do hope that the unit, I think 380 pages in all, was uweful to you and fulfilled your purposes. I have received one or two questions about why i would include games (not necessarily Chinese themed, just with the Chinese pictures) such as Bingo, and my answer is simply that I found with my own children that even if they did exactly the same activity at Christmas or Easter but there were different pictures, it's a whole "new" game to them, so it's really practice and repetition.
I would like to hear from you again though once you have used the product.

Thank you so much for the feedback. Unfortunately I was in a position where I was trying to compile workbooks for 3 children of different ages. My son, who is now 7, is quite advanced and an exceptionally quick learner, so there is always a fine line. I am so pleased that you were able to adapt the unit to work for you. Since it is from a set of my earliest works, I have been contemplating, and have now decided to modify the books slightly, to work for earlier grades, with exercises divided in sections in order to produce the appropriate worksheets depending on the literacy of the learner. Whew! That's a lot of sentence there...

Dear Samantha, I thought the addition of purchasing additional licenses was a wonderful concept, but in all honesty, particularly in this case, I used mainly public domain material and would be happy for you to make use of them without purchasing additional licenses.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
No formal Teacher Training, I work in social media, am a webmaster with a number of websites and blogs, and have a background and extensive experience in criminal and civil law, which I have recently returned to after a 5 year absence. I am a homeschooling mom who opted for homeschooling as a result of circumstances in our country. I have not looked back. I have attended many online courses to assist me in my educational journey. My materials are utilized through countries of Africa as an alternative to formal educational publications which are prohibitively expensive! I am fond of compiling unit studies and thematic units which I am able to adapt and use for each of the three children, now 6, 11 and 13 respectively. I make extensive use of public domain resources and include references to reputable websites for extension exercises and lesson plans. I am a published author.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I believe in every child developing at his or her own pace. I gently but continuously encourage where my child seems to be battling a little, and where there is a clear interest and understanding, I am at full throttle :)
