Thanks! I'm working on sets of cards using the same words as the Phonics Bingo games. The cards will be printable in color, or in black with short and long vowels as outlined letters for students to color.

I tried Reading with color to help my Kindergarten students with reading. It was a Major Triumph. The color rules were used as a mini lesson, and the students referred to the chart all year long. My low readers began doing better until they were on level and my higher readers took off with their reading, pronouncing out words like pros. It made them feel great. You could tell by the look on their faces when they pronounced out a word that was hard. Thanks, I look forward to using more of your materials.

MY TEACHING STYLE
Do you teach a child to ride a bike by separately teaching them to operate the handle bars and pedals and how to balance? No, you teach those skills all-at-once with support. I like to choose a wide variety of reading and spelling words of interest to students, and then help them learn the new words by providing color support for vowels, the most confusing aspect of reading.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I am following in the footsteps of my mother who was a reading tutor for many years. She originally developed the method of using colored letters as phonics hints in the 80s. Students of all ages and abilities were very successful in learning to read. I have tutored for several years now, and I've modified the colors in my mom's method to accommodate colorblind students. Also, I created letter styles for the colors that will be distinct in black/white, and created ready-to-use games and activities for classroom teachers and homeschool familiies.
