I usually read books and then create my own questions, but I'm so happy to have found this product! Now I can spend more time on the actual lesson now because I have quality questions about Animal Farm. Thanks.

I like the direct and clear language on the handout. I would have liked to see what some of the ways to make up the zero for being absent could be done. I would also like to see what would be done with a group that persistently doesn't work together well or a group that has one constant slacker.

I thought I might get some new perspective into creating/evaluating student response journals. I didn't.

Student response journals and other written activities are excellent ways to get students to connect to texts. I grade them separately and do not include them when I assess a class participation grade for students.

I responded on 9/5 to the question you posed. It appears on my Q/A page where I always answer the questions I receive through TpT. Here's the response I submitted:
I’m sorry, but since most of the questions are for discussion, I don’t have the answers written down. However, if you are having trouble finding an answer, I can certainly find the answer for you. Please e-mail me: edieparrott@etcmail.com

Fine objective test. I would like to see a few short answer and/or essay questions.

A very good Open Book test. Also good if you want to ccreate your own MC version. Good, thorough question with varying difficulty.

I purchased this product for my son. Isaac's Storm was his summer reading assignment, and while he read the book, he read it on a 13 hour plane ride-therefore no retention and confusion of some of the characters portrayed in the book. He would have preferred an outline of the book, but the discussion questions definately helped. This was the ONLY set of notes we could find on the web.
The only way I could be happier would be if our school disctrict actually assigned a book with a happy ending at least ONCE in a student's career....death, death, death is all we get here. Depressing. But I digress.

Kris, since it's a PDF file that everyone should be able to open, I'm not sure what the problem could be. Please email me, and I'll try to help:

This is a very thorough test. It will certainly determine if the kids read the book or not. Personally, I think it is too "narrow" to be a really great test because it is all one format; I prefer to ask many different kinds of questions on my tests. However, I do think it would make a great end of book review. The inclusion of the answer key and answer sheet is nice, too. This is all very easy for the students and teacher to use.

The students thought it was difficult and that...is a good sign. Thank you for helping.

A great quiz to check if students have completed the reading. I wouldn't use it as a major test, though.

Simplistic, but a good idea that can be done quickly AND it's valuable for students!
