The lessons each teach a type a sentence. After students learn all the types, they can mix and match to write a paragraph! Helps students write in a "showing" instead of "telling" style. I will be converting these SmartBoard files to PowerPoints and adding more lessons over the summer.

Thank you! I am in the process of converting the lessons from SmartBoard to PowerPoint. I'm also completing the lessons with additional skills. After learning all the sentence types, students can mix and match to make strong paragraphs. Look for the new lessons during the summer.

The number line concept for fractions is very useful but so hard for third graders to grasp. I big number line for fractions projected on the Smart Board is just what I need to help them visualize the concept. Should help with measurement, too.

Doesn't give much for teacher directons/materials but mostly self explanatory. Some reading seems long for a small exemplar. Otherwise very helpful resource for new Essential Standard for us!

The activities are written in voice speaking directly to students . . . modeled after content reading. They are not written in teacher lesson format. Instructions and materials are listed in the TRY THIS! section.
