our school uses MIMIO technology that turns our whiteboards into smartboards. We can usually operate smartboard files but I have not been able to figure out how to edit this with my student's names. Any ideas? I was hoping to get this up and running before break ends. If all else fails maybe our tech guys can figure it out when they get back.

I'm having the same issues with changing the names. I have an Interwrite Board, not a Smart Board. I do have the "free" download of Notebook Express. I have been able to perform the action you're describing on this in the past, but recently I cannot get the "group" or "ungroup" options to come up. Any ideas?

When I ungrouped the penguin and deleted the word "NAME" and then replaced it with my student's name, I could not group them again. So when I moved the penguin the name stayed behind. How do I replace the word "Name" with my students' names and still allow them both to move?

Once you changed the "name" to your students name, click outside the penguin and name and drag over both them so you grab both the penguin and name. Both items will highlight. Then right click and group that way. It should work from there.
