TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been working for the past 3 years as an Education Specialist and Special Education teacher in the Bay Area. I graduated with my BA in English and will be receiving my MA in Education with an emphasis in Special Education this fall. I have taught English, English Workshop, Social Cognition (for students with Asperger's and other social cognitive challenges), and Study Skills.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I am a very hands-on, yet matter-of-fact teacher. I strive to provide my students with regular feedback and encourage them to track their growth. I like to teach using the gradual release of responsibility model. I also like to incorporate cooperative learning (Kagan style).
