I'm not sure about the typical level of a jr. high ESL student, so I'm not sure if this fits your description or not. It's got a sentence or two per page, and has 14 pages. The sample images on the product page are pretty typical of the rest of the booklet, if that helps!

Scoot is fun! Each child gets a game card on his/ her desk, and it stays there. The child records the answer to that card on his/ her answer sheet, then when the teacher calls "Scoot" they advance in a pattern, one at a time, to all the desks throughout the room. By the time they're done, they've "scooted" all the way around the room and answered a question from each child's desk. Much more fun than a worksheet!

I have taught for over thirty years, and have taught most grades from preschool through eight grade. Most of my experience is in the primary grades. I presently teach second grade.
