I have taught 4th Grade and CA missions for 6 years. This is a nice collection of historical photos and accurate information, however the text is much too dense to use in a slide show or guided conversation. It would be good for a hand out or shared reading activity (but only 1 slide). I would have to edit all of the text into general talking points before using it with 4th Grade students.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have successfully pioneered two dual immersion programs at two school sites. I have taught in both a bilingual (Spanish) setting and English classroom. The graphic organizers and PowerPoints I created are intriguing, innovative, and powerful tools to help the students grasp new concepts/ideas and help them succeed.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I don't stay with one particular style due to the fact that each year my class needs change. I am a PowerPoint enthusiast, as well as graphic organizer user, chants, charts, and any other resources I can grasp to help my students. I do tend to teach thematically, but like I said, it all depends on my students needs.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I will be presenting at the CABE (California Association for Bilingual Education) in February of 2009. I have made other presentations for teachers at my school and for students in the university setting studying to become educators.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
BA Liberal Studies from CSU San Marcos Teaching Credential and Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on Bilingual Education from the University of San Diego Administrative Credential from National University
