My Teaching Experience

I've developed and taught enrichment programs to children between the ages of 5 - 12 for ten years in Singapore. I am now a US resident. I taught programs like reading readiness, speech and drama, creative writing and language recovery. The kind of programs I create are suitable for children of all cultures. I strive to create programs that are interactive and challenging.

My Teaching Style

I am a firm believer in Piaget's constructivist approach to learning and Vygotsky's zone of proximal development. I like my programs to be child led and I especially enjoy Creative Drama as a medium for learning. I find children enjoy learning and retain what they learn far better through activities they are intersted in and in which they are co-creators.
