Hi,
So glad you found what you were looking for. It is in PDF so, no, but you certainly have my permission to cut and paste and reduplicate pages. Let me know if that doesn't work for you and I'll see what else I can do. Elyse

Hi,
I am just teaching the novel The Natural for the first time. Would your lesson plans for the movie help with teaching the novel as well? I am not sure if I am going to be showing the movie because it depends if time allows. Thanks.

Hi Marilyn,
Good question. In my opinion, "no," I don't think it would help with the novel. The novel is much different than Hollywood's version. Roy Hobbs strikes out at the end of the book. Max Mercy tells the public of Roy and Harriet's past and a little kid runs up to Roy and says, "Say it ain't so, Roy," so he's not the hero he is in the film. I LOVE the movie so I hope you have time to show it but, again, my lesson plans are strictly for the movie. Thanks for asking and I hope your lesson will the novel goes smoothly! Elyse

I am thankful for your Taylor Swift product; however, just making sure before I use it...the term infer seems to be used incorrectly...the author IMPLIES; the reader infers...correct?

Hi,
No, it is a separate activity and is not contained in the big unit. I couldn't decide how to do it so decided to make two items. I have two other Hamlet activities I want to get in presentable condition to sale and will have them in several weeks. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions. Have a great "sale" day!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught for 33 years in public education covering all English classes from 6th grade through college. I was Dean of English my last 10 years and oversaw many teachers whose various styles and approaches to the classroom inspired me. I also attended and then taught many workshops on a variety of teaching methods. I love writing lesson plans and try to incorporate all learning styles into the lesson with a myriad of stratagems so that all students can be successful. My husband and one daughter taught math and another daughter teaches kindergarten so I have a well-rounded crew around me!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My own teaching style was fun but at the same time serious about learning. I used a variety of activities to enable all students to learn.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was Teacher of the Year of my high school one year. I was one of four teachers chosen to travel out of state and learn a new technique in teaching through learning styles. Then I brought this knowledge back to our district and shared with all teachers.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a B.S. in Speech and English from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas I have a Master of Arts degree in Speech and English from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas I have attended workshops on brain research, learning styles, and many other educational strategies.
