Is there an answer key available for this? My students are confused with the triangles that are scalene but, also right.

Hello there... They should be colored with both red and orange as those triangles can be classified as both right AND scalene. There is no answer sheet for this item but I recommend using this as a whole class activity so that students can justify their answers and defend/argue their thinking. This engages students at a higher level of thinking and promotes better understanding of the classification process. Thank you so much for your question and your purchase!

spenclan re: Fall Back and Regroup! Subtraction Borrowing with Regrouping Success!
Eric,
I bought and love the Fall Back and regroup red Book.
I would love to buy the yellow and green book as well. I didn't see it in your store though. Is there I way I can buy those other 2 kits? Also, I requested the number comparisons kit from you after I bought the regrouping kit, but I lost it in cyber space! Could I get that from you again?

Hello again!
I'll surely send you the number comparison kit; cyber space is a tough place sometimes! As for the other books in the series, I'm in the process of changing over the format for the Yellow book, which deals with triple digit by double digit subtraction with and without regrouping. It also introduces borrowing and regrouping across a single zero. There will be a set of regrouping cards that show the procedural steps for borrowing across a single zero included in the Yellow book. If it would help, I'll expedite those zero cards and post them with a brief tutorial. I'll email you as soon as they are completed. Please pass along your successes with the Red book if you would... I'd greatly appreciate it!

Best regards,

Eric

Hi Eric,

I just purchased your math word wall cards. Do you think you will be making any more of these? I was going to spend $75 and buy the math graffiti cards but I didn't when I saw your file. I like the way yours came out much better. I teach 7th and 8th grade and there are more vocabulary words that I am looking for. Please let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks

Hey there...sorry I didn't get back sooner as this was sent to my e-mail junk folder!

I will do my best to come up with a few more slides in the near future...do you have specific vocabulary in mind? I also will have some math chants (in MP3 format) which might be helpful for your students. Have a great week at school!!! Best regards, Eric

Thanks for your response. I am currently building a website/online school. The address is www.universalhomeschool.com/custom. It will not be live for another 6 – 8 months because there is so much work to be done. I am currently trying to build up material including videos, lessons, worksheets, presentations and more. A lot of this material is being created by myself. I hope that the site will be successful in providing students with a vast resource of information that will help them become more successful. Any material that I use that was not created by myself I will make sure credit has been given to the author. Let me know what you think, if you don’t mind me using your work, either way is fine. If you have any suggestions for me I would also appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time.

Hey Elizabeth,
Please send me your e-mail and I will attach the word document with the lyrics. It is mainly for emergent readers. Thanks for the question. If it doesn't fit what you need, I also write songs by request. Simply let me know what content you want in the song and I can write a parody or song from scratch. Hear from you soon!

Hello Eric! Thanks for the math vocab slides. Great visual process for right brain learners. I do have a question. I wasn't quite sure how to interpret the slide for decimals. I did not "see" the relationship on the slide between decimals and whole parts....???

Hello there, glad you like the resource! The word "decimal" appears where the decimal is found... the place values to the right of the decimal are parts of whole numbers and the place values to the left of the decimal are where all whole numbers are found. Always think, "PLACE VALUE"!!! Also, all fractions (in decimal form) can be found to the right of the decimal point. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and please check out my other products! Have a great week! Eric

I look forward to hearing from you.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in the Muncie Community Schools, located in Muncie, Indiana, for 13 years. I have had a wide variety of classroom and private tutoring experiences ranging from primary to secondary levels. I have been recognized as 'Teacher of the Year' twice at my respective schools.
