I have look EVERY WHERE for some sort of cards dealing with mood/tone. I feel my kids don' know what the words mean (answer choices) when ask to describe the author's tone or mood. Do you have or can you design :) some sort of cards with the words, definition, possible picture? I'm guessing there would be a lot. I would like to have the kids then write/describe a situation where that mood would be portrayed. All your stuff is so great, I thought I'd ask.

To solve the problem, make sure you do these two things: On a MAC or PC, install the latest version of ADOBE READER (link is below). Then, open the file with ADOBE READER. On a MAC, make sure to "Open With" ADOBE READER and NOT Preview. If it's still blurry, that's because you are still opening it with Preview.

Which writing rubric are you referring to? The Hamburger Writing Rubric? If so, the font is called Doodle Basic. It should be showing up on the document. Make sure you are opening it up in Adobe Reader. If you are using a Mac, make sure it isn't opening up in preview. Let me know if you are still having problems!

Can the cards be manipulated so the teacher's side is turned in the same direction as the students'? I am thinking of scanning them and pulling the standards up on my smartboard for the students.
