Katrina has been working with students pre-K to grade 12 since 2004. She integrates technology in her everyday teaching in order to enhance students' performance. She currently owns her own business, tutoring, designing and teaching educational workshops for children, and creating teacher resources. Additionally, she continues to get a taste of the classroom by substitute teaching in local districts.
Katrina tries to act as a facilitator of knowledge toward her students rather than the traditional, formal teacher and authority figure. She believes that students should have a strong role in their own learning experiences and learning by doing will ultimately teach them more about the content, themselves, and the world around them.
