Sonmictom re: "Making a Difference" Vocabulary Cards from Treasures 4th Grade - Unit 1
Hello,
I really like how you created the Vocabulary Cards for Treasures, I would like to purchases Units 2 and 3 but I was wondering if you would be creating the rest of the Units, Units 1, 4, and 5?
Thank you,

I love these-thank you. By any chance have you made one for fiction-sequence? I would be willing to purchase separately as I already purchased the non-fiction set. We teach that almost all fiction is Sequence and I haven't found a poster like that anywhere...

Hi. Thanks for purchasing these posters. Unfortunately, I don't have a set specifically for fiction. I made these to use with our district's reading/ela curriculum called Treasures and it is intended for non-fiction. I use it with non-fiction articles, as I ask the kids to identify which text structure each paragraph is. I am totally willing to make something like this for you, if you let me know what you are looking for. You can email me at mrshauser23@yahoo.com. Thanks again.

Teacher of The Stars  (TpT Seller) re: 3 Minute Rule for Transitions
How do you let them go to the bathroom or water; one at time or several at a time? I like this idea and want to implement it. In previous experiences some of mine have played when I let them go on their own. Is there anyway that you could send me a copy of this in Word so that I could tweek it to fit my needs?

Hi. I don't know how this would work for lower grades, but I have used it in 4th and 5th grades and it works well. As long as they are ready for the lesson by the time the 3 minutes are up, that's all that matters to me. You can have a more organized way, but this takes up your time too. I don't want to have to manage or make sure that they are going in a certain order or something. I want my 3 minutes too! :) They learn pretty quickly to get their materials out first and write the heading on their paper and then do whatever they can in the leftover time. They can go to the bathroom or drink water whenever they want during the 3 minutes. It takes some time for them to practice this in the beginning of the year and to do it all while keeping the room quiet, however most kids will do that if they know they will earn points or something. Mine are usually working for table points and the table who is ready the fastest and quietest will earn the most points. I also find that when kids know you are going to use this 3 minute rule as a transitition time between lesssons consistently, they are more likely to not go to the restroom during the lesson. They know that 3 minutes are coming. I would be happy to send it, however I did it on Powerpoint. Let me know if you still want it. Feel free to email me at mrshauser23@yahoo.com. Thanks for downloading.
