I purchased the Birdies and Bunding literacy set, decorative set and cafe set! They are sooo adorable and I just love birds. I was wondering however if there was a way to keep everything the same just make the background black and white polka dots instead of the brown chevron. It would go with my classroom theme better since I have a mainly b/w polka dot theme with bright colors? Thank you!

I purchased your Owl Punctuation Poster Pack and when I try to print it, it does not come out right. The pictures are distorted. I have tried using a different printer thinking it was my printer. When it shows up on the screen it looks fine, but not when its printed. I need to be able to print the pages for me to be able to use them. I have checked to make sure the my Adobe is up to date and it is. I dont know what else to try. Do you have any suggestions or can you fix it?? Thanks!

It actually isn't set to a tune of a specific song. My class uses it as more of a rhyme than a song. We recite the rhyme one money section at a time, pausing between each section. I hope that helps you out a bit! Enjoy!

These labels are not made to fit any specific label size. Previous customers (and myself) either print on full page label sheets (sticker paper) or white copy paper to laminate and attach to bins. Hi Jody. I am working on answering emails this weekend. I apoligize for the delayed response but my inbox is FULL. Haha. It's a wonderful burden to have! The font used in my focus wall headers is a custom font designed for me by Dreamlike Magic Designs. She also designed my teaching blog. Alicia is wonderful to work with. She could help you with something similar but I don't know if she will duplicate exactly since it is custom. If you aren't interested in doing something like that, I suggest using a similar font and filling it with a digital background. The font that I've found is closest to mine is called "Rockwell." I hope that info is helpful. Let me know if you need anything else.

I LOVE THIS! I just started school and am doing a Pirate theme this year. I also just discovered that part of my original Writer's Eye display is missing. I will be purchasing this one. Anyway, in my old set there was a sign that said "I understand my sentences when I read them." or "My writing makes sense when I read it." I was wondering if you could add one of these to your pack? It was very helpful to my first graders.

Thanks for contacting me! I keep all of my gameboards in one of my work on words bins. In the same bin I keep a bag of dice and game pieces. When students choose to play the game, they grab their supplies, the board, and their word ring. Students take turns rolling dice. If a student rolls a 3 they read the next word on their word ring and parnter checks. If the word is correct, they move 3 spots. If they are incorrect...no move. Partner repeats same process. I printed the boards on cardstock and laminated for easy prep. Since the directions never change, my students knew how to play once I explained the concept. The same concept works if you choose to write on the game boards. For example I printed one of the boards and wrote subtraction facts on each of the spaces before laminating. Students rolled and solved the problem on that square. If they were correct (partner checked) they stayed on the square. If they were incorrect, they went back to the previous spot. Hi Sarah! Thank you for contacting me. I'm glad that you love the gameboards! I keep all of my gameboards in one of my work on words bins. In the same bin I keep a bag of dice and game pieces. When students choose to play the game, they grab their supplies, the board, and their word ring. Students take turns rolling dice. If a student rolls a 3 they read the next word on their word ring and parnter checks. If the word is correct, they move 3 spots. If they are incorrect...no move. Partner repeats same process. I printed directions with the first board that my students ever used and put them in file folders. Since the directions never changed, it was less time consuming and used less supplies to just run the boards on cardstock and laminate. You could certainly print directions and then just re-copy them for each game if needed. The same concept works if you choose to write on the game boards. For example I printed one of the boards and wrote subtraction facts on each of the spaces before laminating. Students rolled and solved the problem on that square. If they were correct (partner checked) they stayed on the square. If they were incorrect, they went back to the previous spot. I hope that info helps. I appreciate you asking for clarity. The only daily 5 items that I had in my store were the birdies and buntings and camping themed signs. However, teachers are no longer able to sell daily 5 products. I recently purchased your Daily 5 posters (and all your other items) and Im excited to put them to use! Quick question though, how exactly do you use them in your room? Is it used during guided reading, or independent time...does every student work on the same thing...differnet poster for each day of the week...? Hi Jessica. I highly recommend reading The Daily Five By Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. Daily five is a complex system used every day that covers various areas of literacy. For me, my students are in Daily five while I conduct guided reading groups. Second grade is an excellent age to implement Daily five. It has been a huge improvement for me as opposed to literacy stations. Hope that helps! Thanks for your support!
