This activity is simple and fun! I have used it along with my mystery reading and writing units, and it's a great addition! I had an extra "treasure box" (from Oriental Trading) left over from a birthday party and my class has loved taking it home to fill with their mystery item! Thank you!

It includes the words in isolation and within the context of sentences with picture support. I am currently a 3rd grade teacher, and have taught 14 years in grades K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th.

I run my classroom through both whole group and independent activites. These independent activities are the focus of my center time. I work to differentiate learning for all learners and continually monitor their progress.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher, Columbia County Reading Teacher of the Year and State of Florida Reading Teacher of the Year Finalist, Golden Apple Teacher finalist and Teacher of Distinction, Lee County Teacher of the Year finalist, Who's Who Among American Teachers and a State DIBELS and FAIR Trainer. I have taught school and district level workshops on Spalding Phonics, DIBELS, literacy centers, math bar diagraming and current teaching strategies.

I graduated from University of South Florida with a BA in Elementary Education. I have my reading endorsement as well as my ESOL endorsement. I am currently working on my masters in Reading and Literacy.
