I opened the regular file and could use the activities. I could not open the additional activities. Any ideas? It asks what program do I want to open it with. Message also said that Windows was unable to open it. I right clicked like I have other zip files. That is when I got the message about Windows.

I have a question about this product... you have weight and mass as separate category headers. These are in the same category, aren't they? Weight is a measure of mass relative to the force applied to it, so I'm confused which items would fall into the "mass" category since all the same ones would fall into "weight". Please help!

Not silly at all! :) In the first version, you draw an "odd" or "even" card and students will cover an odd number if "odd" is drawn or an even number if "even" is drawn. In the second version, you draw a number card and students will cover an odd space if it is an odd number or an even space if it is an even number. I saw your sample Math journal on your blog and really liked it. I am also a 4th grade teacher, and every year have tried to set up a Math notebook. The problem I have is setting it up. When you start with your table of contents, how do you know how many pages each topic will take? Do you have a sample of your table of contents? If I could judt get it going, I would be sooo happy!

Hello - I purchased the Place Value Notebook Package and just wanted to touch base with you about the rounding section. It says 4 or less rounds down, but should be 4 or less stays the same. It is a great unit that I cannot wait to use, and wasn't sure if you explained it a different way that you mention rounding down. Thanks so much!

Thanks for your inquiry! I was referring to rounding down to the lower option when rounding. For instance, if the number is 140 and I am rounding to the nearest 10, my two options to round to are 130 and 150. So for that example, we would round down to 130. That's what I meant. I totally understand what you are saying and I see how that is confusing--my kids got confused no matter what way it was taught! Lol. Thanks, again! Hope that answers your question.
