I am changing grades next year, from fourth to third, so I bought the 4th grade summer packets for my departing 4th graders, and the 2nd grade packets for my incoming 3rd graders, hoping that they'll come back with a little less brain drain! Thanks so much!!

I am a 2nd grade teacher and purchased your summer literacy and math activity calendars for rising 3rd graders last year. I was thrilled when I saw you have new calendars out for this summer! My parents liked them and send me emails that they were using them! My question... I just purchased your 3rd grade calendar and realized I made a mistake. I thought it was for rising 3rd graders and realize now that I should have purchased the 2nd grade calendar. Is there any chance I can get the second grade one instead. It was my error, when I went back and read your description carefully, it made sense. Thanks for your consideration.

I'm not sure if all of your posters are correct. Other sources I have say each line is called a line and a group of lines is a verse or stanza. Not sure which is correct, but I have seen it in more than one place the other way.

I'm stumped...the Oxford Dictionary defines a verse as a group of lines, but other sources (dictionaries as well as poetry resources) define a verse as "a metrical line of poetry", and define a stanza as a group of lines or verses. I'm going to do some more thorough research to see if someone's already sorted this issue out within the context of the common core. In the meantime, would it be helpful if I revise the product so it has a separate poster for each definition? That would allow you to choose which way you want to teach those particular terms.
Update: 5-12-13: after more research (and some helpful advice from the TpT forums), I've come to realize that both definitions are technically correct. Since all the packet activities revolve around the vocabulary definitions (changing one of the definitions would mean that id have to revise ALL of the games and activities), I'm going to leave them as is. Thank you again for bringing the issue to my attention....it was an important point to make.

Fourth Grade Flipper (TpT Seller) re: Fractions: 1/2 through 12/12 {Clipart Collection}
Do the pictures include all the different fractions represented shaded in (for example 1/8, 2/8, 3/8, 4/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8). If not, are the graphics editable with any software that would allow me to shade in the amount of pieces I wanted to for the pictures? Thank you!

Yes, there is an image that is shaded in to show each of the fractions from 1/2 to 12/12. For instance, the graphic for 11/12 has 11 of 12 sections shaded in. I hope this helps.....let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Heather

It's just the angles....I put the numbers in just for the sake of the thumbnail files to show exactly which angles are included in the collection. I'm going to work on a larger set of angle images that represent all degrees from 1 to 180 in increments of one degree over the winter break, so if you need images for making more advanced protractor activities, I should be able to post the second set in a couple of weeks. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have 11 years of experience as an educational psychologist. I specialize in developing materials for visual-spatial learners, including children with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. I make sure my materials have fonts and images that are easy to read and interpret, layouts that are not visually cluttered, and formatting that helps kids understand what they are supposed to do. I also make sure my products have written instructions that are as simply worded as possible to aid independence.
