Hi,
I was wondering if your were going to make the lesson plan pages for the K Scott Foresman series? I have been using your first and second grade with the My Sidewalks intervention series and I love it! It has made my planning so much easier! I would love to use it with the Early Intervention for K, I don't know if the regular Reading Street has a K series.

I will next week when I get home to my computer. The children color in the chart to the right to match my classroom chart. They also use their crayons in the afternoon to draw a star on that date to show what color they were on. If they move down I draw their star with my marker. Hope this helps.

No, I have it but the problem is that it has increased the size of the box of the headings making the whole planning too large to fit on one page. The math and science boxes fall off to the second page and I would have to try to readjust every column heading to try and fit the planner onto one page. I hadn't realized that the whole document was in Comic Sans because it was so small and because of the glitch I hadn't printed it out yet. I love CK Handprint and bought it specially for this and was expecting it to be in that format because that's what was in the first preview. I can't even alter it because except for the headings (?) everything is in PDF form and can't be changed. I am going to email you what I purchased so you can see what I am talking about and I asking if you could please replace it with a CK Handprint version. Please? I'm sorry this is happening. The idea of your product is AMAZING! But I am wondering if others will find the same thing happening once they open the file with Comic Sans.

Are you using Microsoft Word to open the document. I opened it on my computer and everyting is good to go using Microsoft Word. The entire document is saved as a .doc file. None of it is a pdf. The preview for the 1st grade one is in comic sans. I created the 2nd grade one for myself using ck handprint. When I was asked to create the 1st grade one, I was asked to use Comic Sans. Please let me know what program you are using to open the document.

Ok, I am so sorry to have to ask you this BUT....I just purchased the 1st grade Reading Street Planner and all of the headings are in a different font (it looks like Comic Sans) than your 2nd grade preview (CK Handprint) which probably has made the spacing bigger because the entire page has been thrown off. I won't be able to print the entire lesson plan on one page. At first I thought it might be my margins, so I eliminated almost all of my margin space but that still didn't fix the problem. That's when I brought up the demo pdf and noticed the different sized headings. Is there some way I can get a new version of this sent to me? Thank you.

It is comic sans. Do you not have comic sans? The second grade one was done in a font that most computers do not have and buyers must also purchase that font. I changed to comic sans because I thought all computers had comic sans. If you do not have it please email me at jennifer.h.staton@gmail.com. We will figure something out.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I think I see why the preview won't come up this time. When I first saw your 2nd grade Reading Street Planner, I did download the preview (I THOUGHT I had seen it upclose!) and it had opened successfully. But your new files have been saved as a pdf.doc file and I can't open them on my Macbook or my PC at school. It gives me the message "invalid format". So, that's what I am wondering, have you saved all of the files as pdf.doc or just pdf? Thanks, again!!

I am interested in purchasing your 1st grade Reading Street Planner, however, I cannot get your preview to open. I have seen the preview of your 2nd grade planner and although my school does not use the Reading Street curriculum (we use Houghton Mifflin), I am mostly interested in the planner because you have laid out the Cafe(Daily 5) so well. I have been doing the Literacy Cafe/Daily 5 for the past 4 years and absolutely love it! But this would make my planning life so much easier and more organized! Also on your product overview for the 1st Grade Reading Street Planner, it refers to having been created to be used with Reading Street 3rd grade Common Core Edition. Although I might be safe in assuming that was a typo, I don't want to purchase the product without finding out the details first. I do want a First Grade Planner. Thank you so much for your time.

Yes that is a typo. I will fix it. I did create this to go with 1st grade Reading Street. The only way the 1st grade planner is different from the 2nd grade is that it has the 1st grade stories, skills, spelling words, vocabulary words, etc. I will also take a look at the preview and see what is wrong there. I have a planner available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. Not sure about the stories. I don't have a book at home with me to look at. It is in Word though. So if a few stories are different you can make changes. Does this help?

This is what I will be using this year. I am also doing the Daily 5 and CAFE. They are not actual plans but to be used for planning. Spelling, vocabulary from the Reading Street stories are already on the plans each week. I plan on highlighting the skills that my class needs each week. It is to be used to help me plan. Hope this helps. Each story looks like the preview that you can download.

I didn't measure the wood. I measured the crates (which I got from the school cafeteria) and added ane each to each side. I zip tied the crates together before I measured. I plan on making a tutorial with pictures to post on my blog soon. I also posted step by step instructions in the comments section somewhere. Hope this helps.
