Hi Gmcfall,

I would be happy to send you the graphic organizers that I use for the philosophies and inventions. What email address should I send them to? As for the links, they are linked to videos on my computer, and I can't include them because of copyright infringement. I would suggest finding the clips (kung fu panda, star wars, matrix, etc.) on YouTube from home, downloading them and then hyperlinking them into your PowerPoint. Keepvid.com is a free, popular option for downloading YouTube videos.

I hope this helps!

Hi Betcs419,

I am not able to post the videos because of copyright issues. However, you can hyperlink them to videos on You-Tube. For the Magna Carta, I show a scene from the 2010 Robin Hood where the nobles confront King John about signing the Magna Carta. For the others like Rodney King, UC Davis Pepper Spray, etc., there are many options on You-Tube to link them to as well.

I hope this helps,

gmcfall re: *** CHINA!!! 5-PART, Highly visual, engaging, thoughtful 93-slide PowerPoint
Hi Greg, does this align with 7th grade in California where I teach and I think you as well? Also, do you have any ideas on combining China and Japan?
February 2, 2013 Report inappropriate comment
Greg
Greg  (TpT Seller)
Hi gmcfall,

Yes, this was made to align with CA content standards. Some parts of it focus on 6th grade standards (e.g. Dynasties) and other parts of it focus on 7th grade (e.g. Inventions). As for China and Japan, I show my students a list of 28 concepts (sushi, Buddhism, kana, kanji, etc), and the students determine which 14 are original to Japan, and which 14 came to Japan from China. This way, they recognize the huge influence of Chinese culture on Japan, while also seeing unique features of Japan's culture. This activity is in my Japan PowerPoint if you are interested.

I hope this helps,
