Yes, we do one page a day. If time is tight, we might skip it, but we always do the calendar and weather tracker page each day. I usually count the number of schools days on the calendar and copy that many for each student. We keep ours in a 1/2" three ring binder. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions!

If we are playing the addition to 5 game, I give them all the cards that are 0-5 :) There might be a few left over at the end of the game, but we just stop and start another game if there are no more matches. They really love the game and they start to internalize the number combos to 5 really quickly! Hope you and your kiddos enjoy the game - mine sure do!!

I you opening the unit using preview on a Mac? That will often cause this problem. Open it with adobe and the problem will go away! If you are already opening it with adobe, then you probably need to update your adobe software. Hope that helps!

I have a question about the "Fun at the Beach" bundle. Your worksheet "Sliding into Summer" (page 85 of the pack), has the number line backwards. I'm in a resource room, and I know that seeing the number line backwards will cause MAJOR confusion for my kiddos. Are you opening up the file using preview on a MAC? Make sure that you open up the file using Adobe. Sometimes when you open in preview the document doesn't display properly. If that isn't the case, try updating your Adobe software. If neither of those fixes work, go ahead and put in a trouble ticket by using the "contact us" button at the bottom of the homepage. I promise there are sentences there!

One question about this packet - on the one response sheet - having to do with tallies - the animals have tallie marks on them but the recording sheet has on it "Skip Counting on the Farm" at the top and at the bottom is says "I can count by fives". Sure! Backpack Boogie is for back to school time -- pretty simple centers based about school and school supplies. Then there is an apple unit. I will be working on an October unit this summer as well. Then it pretty much goes in order of the seasons. Farm is really the only one that is questionable as a spring or summer unit. It would be great for a review for 1st grade in the fall. Hope that helps!

It is based on the 100 grid. So, you would pick a number on the number grid...Write that number in the middle box. Then you would have the children figure out 10 more, 10 less, 1 more and 1 less. You cold have them find the number on a number grid and fill it in that way or have them mentally figure it out. Hope that helps....let me know if you have more questions!!

I bought your "Alpha Heroes Learning the Alphabet with Super Heroes" pdf and love it! Thank you for your creativity and hands-on ideas. The only thing is that there are 13 letter mats that are blank, the uppercase & lowercase letters are missing. As it is half of the alphabet, I figured maybe I am missing something. I liked the programmable sheets and the option to be able to cut and paste the words into the order they are presented in my reading series. However, when words are typed or cut and pasted into the programmable pages the font is much larger than than the original size font in your pages. Is there any way to update the programmable pages with a smaller font? Or to send me an editable or programmable pages? kchristie@rochester.k12.mi.us.

The font size should change as you type. That is the way I programmed it. You already own the only editable pages I have. The pdf is an editable file. Perhaps you need to update your Adobe? You can e-mail me the file and I can take a look at it to see how it looks from my end. But, on my version (and the version I uploaded) the font gets smaller as you type the letters. The main focus is up to 5. I just use the cards 0-5. Of course when they flip over a 5 and a 2, they are going to get 7, but the focus is to make 5. With enough repetition, they'll hopefully remember the number combinations to make 5. Does that make sense? E-mail me at growingkinders@gmail.com, and I will send it to you. I just bought going buggy. On magnifying Sums on page 41-42 the images on those pages are not printing. They show up on screen but when I print I only get the magnifying glasses, not the other images on them. HELP

The center activities are in the "I can Learn Can You" pack. They are not Dr. Seuss graphics though - Dr. Seuss will not allow their use in packets. however, they are fun and whimsical and will go right along with a Dr. Seuss theme!

I know the document isn't able to be modified; but I was hoping you could telling what font you used to create the activity so that I can make my own headers but keep it all looking uniform? My kids just pointed something out today. List 8 has repeats: not, will, was.
Also, list 10 repeats the word did.

Yes, I noticed those doubles! Glad the kids noticed! I hope to get them fixed soon, but it might not be until after school is out. :( I was combining so many sight word lists that I guess I missed some! I do notice that sometimes my kiddos can read it on one list and not on the other.... :) Glad your kiddos are loving the scoops! It's a great motivator!
