Thanks for checking it out! It is aligned to common core. Check the preview file because it lists a table of contents of the common core standards that are met. I don't use Reader's Workshop but instead Guided Reading Centers but I would think you could fit it in to Reader's Workshop. I use Writer's Workshop too and fit the lessons in, but it's not explicitly made for Writer's Workshop.

This is my 6th year teaching. I taught second grade for 4 years and now I am teaching first grade gifted for my second year. I love teaching the enriched curriculum and inspiring the kids to think differently.
