I've been teaching for 22 years and have loved every bit of it. My experiences range from Special Educator (resource and self-contained) to Diagnostic Prescriptive Teacher to Elementary Educator (first and second grade). I've been in second grade for 17 years and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
My teaching style is pretty open. I believe that students with freedom to be creative actually learn the best. I want my students to have choices, to make choices and to learn from the choices they've made. Above all else, I want my students to feel free and comfortable to take their own learning to new levels!

I've been married for 22 years to my best friend. We have three children who will all be in college very soon. I am also an animal lover. We currently have two dogs (one whom is totally deaf) and two guinea pigs. My guinea pigs are a huge part of my classroom and they are well loved by many!
