I love the pencil look and how it's layed out. I bought tiny clothes pins from Michaels. I'll write a childs name on each pin. They will clip their pin on the pencil to show what stage of writing their at. Great idea!

HI Mary, Thank you for following and reaching out to me. I am happy to help as much as I can. I took a look at your store and love what I saw. You have a good start with your products and you are receiving nice ratings. One tip to get your products more noticeable is to add a cover page. I noticed that when I added cover pages on my products my sales increased. I also downloaded your freebie and it looks good. I like the cute clipart and the idea. You could add a brief explanation in your products to inform the buyer on how to use your products or give examples on how your products have helped you in your classroom. Another tip is to advertise your products on Pinterest. Pinterest is a visual social media platform where you can “pin” an image of your products and display to other teachers/educators. I hope I have been able to give you some sound advice and as always, thank you for visiting my store.

I added the creative license icon within the text box on each slide. Once I was satisfied with the text/info on each slide I just pressed the "enter" key until I reached the bottom of the text box. If you need to make the text box bigger, just mouse over the bottom line until you see and arrow, then drag down to increase the size. Let me know if this helps.

HI Manuela, Yes its nice connecting with you! I'm not sure I have an answer for you. Alot of my boards are community boards. These are boards that a group of people pin on at the same time. However you can change the setting on your boards so that you don't get so many emails. Go to the board and click edit. At the bottom you will be able to turn off email notifications. If you plan to pin alot, I know that Piniterest does limit the number of pins a pinner can pin in a short amount of time. Try to pin on various boards to reach a variety of pinners. I'm still feeling my way around when it comes to topics, pricing, visibility and everything else in the little free time I have from teaching 8th graders every day. So it's good to see someone else who's been where I am and managed to turn this into something fairly successful.
I see that you have most (or all, maybe) of your items in .pdf format. I use powerpoint to make my worksheets and the like because I'm familiar with it and it seems quick and easy to use for moving and editing text and pictures. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to create your worksheets? Pdf files definitely have their benefits, but during the school year convenience is my biggest concern so I may have to wait for summer before I make any really big changes. :)

I use powerpoint to make my worksheets and the like because I'm familiar with it and it seems quick and easy to use for moving and editing text and pictures. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to create your worksheets? Pdf files definitely have their benefits, but during the school year convenience is my biggest concern so I may have to wait for summer before I make any really big changes. :)

Now to your answer your question, I use Microsoft Word to create my documents. Once the document is complete, I save it as a PDF. I choose the PDF format because it is compatible across multiple platforms (ie Mac and PC). Adobe (PDF formatting) is also a free download thereby limiting the compatibility issues with buyers. However, if you choose not to use PDF you can always save your documents as a Word doc. I would however advise you to save as a Microsoft Word 91-2003 Compatible Mode doc. I'd be glad to give a fellow TPT seller some pointers. Here are some tips that I've found useful.
- Pace yourself. It takes time to gain followers, get good rating, and earn money. Don't burn yourself out.
- Respond to any and all comments or questions. This will help you retain your followers and gain new ones.
- If a product does not seem to be selling then revise, revise, and then revise again until it sells.
- Don't let negative feedback get you down. Take that feedback and make your product better.
- Try not to undervalue your products and your hard work. All teachers appreciate the time and effort you put into your items and store.
- Finally, spend time on yourself to refresh your mind. Sometimes walking away from the computer and coming back to it a day or two days later helps to see things in a different light.
